Love is Forever
Hold me tight and tell me you love me, so I can once again be
reassured of us. Our love is forever, our love is for now,
and our love will last through all time.
We've weathered some storms and come out stronger.
We've laughed sometimes and shed some tears, and yet our love holds on.
Forever we pledged and forever we'll stay;
I'll do my part and you do yours!
The Walk
We walk hand in hand on a wintry day.
Tinkling, twinkling ice shimmers on the trees.
Snow covered ground, unmarred but for our footprints.
The sun shines down through the cloud-fluffed blue sky.
Our world is at peace, and we speak quietly, unwilling to disrupt the quiet.
Our words of love mingle with the crunch of snow under our feet.
To me, our love is like this day; frozen in crystalized white perfection.
When I fell in love with you, it was forever.
There may be moments when we have our doubts,
but nothing will ever change the love I feel for you.
You're the man I married, the man I sleep with,
the man I make love with, the man I share all my dreams with
and the man I want to grow old with.
Sometimes when we fight, it breaks my heart in two.
Because I want so much to please you,
and yet I want to make myself an individual, too.
I know that I want you around forever, and if anything were
to ever happen to you, I would be lost.
We'll make it work, the two of us, as long as we've got LOVE!
The End
The river of tears fall
Slowly down my face
Not in any hurry
To win some silly race.
The pain is creeping up
On my broken heart
My very soul is aching
It knows we're about to part.
The minutes are ticking by
Counting every single loss
The two of us are giving up
With this one last toss.
The words are coming back
Spoken sharply and with haste
To grip around my heart
Cruel and ugly, such a waste.
Letting Go
Letting go and saying good-bye,
I realize that you're the one person
I always thought would be in my life.
Angry words and bitter tears and two
broken hearts later, we're over.
Forever was in our hearts the day we wed,
and now the judge seals our fate with the
flick of a pen. I never meant to hurt you,
and I know how badly I did just that.
I miss you lying beside me and holding me tight.
Why couldn't we have beat the odds?
I love you, always.
