HORROR
HOST DOCUMENTARY -
Doktor Goulfinger and was on hand at Monster
Bash in Pittsburgh with filmmaker Sandy Clark, as they began
work interviewing members of the Horror Host Underground for
the planned "American Scary" documentary about
Horror Hosts.
Next up is a potential trip
to Baltimore in August for Horrorfind, and then later in
Cleveland for Cinema Wasteland. More on both conventions
below.

HOSTS
DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES -Since most current Hosts have some sort
of background with film or television, it's no
surprising so many of them are involved (on some level) with actually making low
budget-no budget films.

PUBLIC DOMAIN
MOVIES - Public Domain movies
are what they say they are; movies that are theoretically
owned by THE Public. Without PD movies most Horror Hosts today
would not be able to exist, and many viewers would never be
able to enjoy some of the best of the worst in cinema.
Every few months there seems to be new
and conflicting rulings and laws about what is PD and what isn't. It is because
of the changing nature of this that we are reluctant about presenting an HHU
definitive list of movies, however we do welcome thoughts on the subject from
visitors and members. First out
of the shoot, to help us get some form to this section, is HHU member Mr. Lobo
out of California.
Not only
has he addressed the PD issue as succinctly as
anyone has, but the dapper host of "Cinema
Insomnia" has even offered his list of Public
Domain movies that we gladly present with the
disclaimer that this list is his, and not officially
from The Horror Host Underground.
