High Prairie Stables is located north of Helena , Montana in the foothills of the Sleeping Giant. 

That Hollywood Zan is our reference sire. “ Hollywood ” carries one of the more versatile bloodlines in Montana today. The pedigree list for this stud is impressive as is his performance. He is a direct Grandson of the great Zan Parr Bar on the top, and Hollywood Gold on the bottom, with Poco Bueno running through and through. Credentials include: Third in the World ABRA show in reined working cow horse with full brother winning the world title in this division. AQHA performance points in reining and working cowhorse. Other more recent accomplishments are Helena Team Penning Association Winter Series Champion in 2004, 9 Class Penning Champion in 2005 Anders Memorial and 2005 Celebrity Classic Champion. Numerous other local and statewide penning event wins.

Here are some stats to consider: The AQHA Journal in the spring of 2004 published a listing of All-Around Leading Performance Sires for the past 20 years, and Reserve All-Around Leading Performance Sires for the same time period. In that list out of the 20 sires, nine of them were Zan Par Barr bred for the All-Around Leading Performance Sires list and seven of them were on the Reserve All-Around Leading Performance Sires list.

Hollywood is known for his quietness and versatility. He is quick, very cowy and has passed on buckskin, palomino, black, dun and bay color in his foal crops. Our c olts also have Hoddy bred into them from the mare for added speed and will be trained for speed events as well as cow events. Hoddy was a world speed record holder.
