"Is he activated" "Yes, I can't believe we did it". "It was your doing, I just assisted " "He's coming around" "Wh… Wh… Where am I?" "On Cybertron, in the Old Iacon District" " Who are you?" "I'm Kup and this is Pipes," replied Kup, "Who are you? You have the Autobot symbol but nether one of us have seen or heard about you," asked Kup. Sitting up the re-waken Autobot stretched his legs and stood up, " Haven't stood up on my own two feet in over three million years" replied the unknown Autobot. " My name, it's Darksaber and I'm not just an Autobot but an Outlander," replied Darksaber
"Outlander heh, never heard that name before" Kup said to Darksaber, as the two veteran Autobots looked over the new Autobot and wondered who he really was and what his intentions were, "I've heard of the outlander transformers," Pipes told Kup, "what do you mean, you heard about it, why haven't I heard about it" Kup said to Pipes. " Kup there are things that you will never know about, things that have happened to Cybertron in the past that no one can imagine" Pipes told Kup. As Darksaber took in the surrounding area he noticed the distruction and desevestion, " What happened here" Darksaber bellowed out "You don't know," Kup responed.
"It was the war, between the Autobots and the Decepticons, its been like this for million of years" Kup told Darksaber. "I have an idea" Pipes blurted out, "why don't I interface with you and give you a look at my memories and let you see first hand of what happened" Pipes looked at Darksaber and told him, "You do that for me,"Darksaber said with a confused look on his face. "why not, you are an Autobot and it is your past, then maybe we can explain to Kup where you came from." Pipes told Darksaber, "Wait, is it going to be safe?" Kup asked Pipeswith a concern look on his face. " Yes it will be, I will just have to make some adjustments to my systems but it should be no problem" Pipes told Kup. As Darksaber looked over the landscape of Cybertron, he took in the distruction and decide that Pipes idea was the only way he would be able to know what happen on his homeworld. "Pipes, the choice is up to you," Darksaber told Pipes.
As Pipes thought about what he was about to do, he thought to him self if this stranger would do the same, I'm ready" Pipes told Kup "Ok here goes nothing" Kup replied. As Pipes sat down Kup moved over and and started to get the cord out that would connect to Darksaber to allow the transfer of memories, "Pipes why dont you do a back up incase something happens" Kup told Pipes with a concern tone in his voice. " Good idea Kup" Pipes replied. As Darksaber looked over the two Autobots, He felt a connection to these two somehow, he couldnt describe it but he felt at peace. "Darksaber why dont you sit with your back to Pipes" Kup told Darksaber. As Darksaber took his postion he begun to feel nervous at the thought of learning the fate of Cybertron and all that has happend to the Autobots as well as the Decepticons. As Kup placed the cord to Darksabers memory bank, Kup noticed another symbole, one he never seen before. "Heh Darksaber whats this symbole on your back" Kup asked "I dont know, I never knew I had a symbole back there" Darksaber replied confusingly. As Kup finished with the cord for the transfer, Pipes was finishing up with his memory back up, "Everyting set Kup" Pipes asked "Yep all finished here, I'm still agiasnt it but lets get it over with and get back to base" Kup said nervously for his friend. "As the memory transfor begun, imageies flowed in to Darksaber, the past battles, the evaac of Cybertron, the battle with a giant transformer, the death of a great leader. It was so much info to process, that Darksaber just watched as Pipes past became his own.
As the memories flooed in to Darksaber, he noticed the rise of the Decepticons and the downfall of his Autobots, why he thought to him self wasnt he activated earlier, maybe he could have made a differce to the cause. As he fought through these memories, he noticed Kup looking at him, " You dont trust me do you?" Darksaber said to Kup "Its not that I dont trust you, I dont know you, you say your an autobot but something eles called eh... Outlander, you havent given us an explantion to what that is or even who you are, so its not a matter of trust, its just fear I guess" Kup told Darkaber "I respect that and if I could answer your question as to who I am and why I am an outlander I would tell you but I dont remebr any of that stuff, its all kinda blurry" Darksaber told Kup with respect. "Pipes is this transfer thingy almost finished," Kup asked Pipes "Almost, give it about five more minutes" Pipes answered. As the time clicked by, Kup was what Ultra Magnus would think about their new arival. "Darksaber what transformations do you have" Kup asked "Transformations I... I dont know," Darksaber told kup with a confused tone. "Would you to hold it down for a minute or two more" Pipes said out loud. With the finile seconds couting down, Kup moved twords Pipes and Darksaber to remove the power link, as Kup removed the link from Pipes first, Pipes stood to strech his servos. "Now, Darksaber, your memory processors will need to be shut down and then restarted, this will also preform a backup for you" Pipes told Darksaber.
Preparing to shutdown, Darksaber looked over at Pipes questionally "yYOu will be here when I wake up," "Yes, it will only take a few seconds but yea we will both be here" Pipes told Darksaber. Shuting him self down, Darksaber went in to a stais like state. "Pipes what you doing lad" Kup as Pipes who had moved towards the only working moniter and satarted to access files that have not been seen in over 3 million years. "I'm going through memory files from the Autobot scienec division during the first great war, so you both will now what is going on here.
As Darksaber awoke from his reprograming, he noticed Pipes at the terminal and Kup pacing back and forth. "How long was I out?" "Just a few minutes" Kup told Darksaber. "Darksaber hows your head" Pipes asked, "Full" Replied Darksaber. "Sorry to hear that cause its going to get fuller, I have information on your past" Pipes told Darksaber. As Pipes moved to sit, he gestured Kup and Darksaber to do the same, "This was told to me by my former teacher, Mezition, he told me this before he was killed in the BAttle of Maxis Prime. Pipes told them both. "What I am about to tell you hasnt been spoken of for about two million years," Pipes said letting the importance of it sink in. "Its about a project created by the council of Elders, created for the pourpose of defending our cities from Decepticon attacks" Pipes said. "This project was called Outlander, and Darksaber you were their finest creation." Pipes told Darksaber and kup.
As Darksaber took this in Pipes started with his tale once agian. "The Outlander project was under the supervision of the great Autobot Sciencetis Doctor Lithiony. he was task to creat an army of Autobots that were more technologicly advanced then the normal Autobot, the project was started in the utmost securicy. My teacher was Lithionys aid." Pipes told Darksaber and Kup.
"Mez, keep the pulse staedy pleae, I dont want to overload his neural processors."Lithiony told Meziton. "Yes Doctor" replied Mezition. As the Autobot Sciencetis worked on the lastest transformer, they both noticed that his pulse was becoming steadyer, which was a good sing that this one would wake up with out extrawork to be done on him. With the last six turning out in various stages, they were releved that one would stand up to the rigors of the process. " Mez, disengage the pulse stream and release the rfestrants" Lithiony told Mezition. As Mezition preformed the task givin to him, he noticed the transformer being to move on his own, first the small flekes of the fingers, the movement of his knees, the small movement of his head, yes he thought they had done it. "Doctor, what shall we call this one," Mezition asked the Doctor. "Lets see, hes the first in line of a new bread, He is powerful and will be cunning, I will call him Darksaber, He will lead this new army along side our leader and lead us to victory." Lithiony told Meziton. Just as the Doctor started to celebreat he begun to wonder what would happen if Darksaber or any of the other fell in to the hands of the Decepticons, the destruction they could cause, no, that could never happen and he must make sure of it.
"Mez, I have a task for you to do," Lithiony said in a nervous tone. "Yes Doctor what is it" Mezition asked. " I need you to go to the stais chamber and remove the core concious from five of the outlanders and have their bodys melted down, aS for the sixth I want you to place him in a stais tube with securty activtion by your voice only, scarmble the codes to the pod and leave it in the chamber." Doctor Lithiony told Mezition. As he heard this he could not beleave what he was being asked to do, to destroy the work they created and to lock one of them up for who knows how long was wrong, "Doctor, why, why must I do this." Mezition asked with puzzelment of his face. "Mez, think about it, if the Decepticons ever got ahold of just one of the Oultanders then we would be in serious trouble, by doing this we are saving our self and the others from defeat from the hands of our own creations." Lithiony told Mezition. "Yes Doctor, I will get to it at once." Mezition replied to the explantion.
As Mezition moved off down the corridores, he thought to him self the task at hand must be carried out no matter what he thought, coming upon the stais chamber Mezition took in the sight, Two Guardin Bots standing guard over six transformers. "Stop where you are, state your name and pourpose for being in this restricted area"one of the Guradin bots asking him. " Im Doctor Lithionys aid, I'm here to check on our test subjects" Mezition replied to the Guardian Bot. "Proced" was all the Guardian Bot said. Entering the chamber MEzition noticed that it was colder the useually and that he seemed far more alert then he shouldve been. Coming to the chamber's hatch Mezition eneter the securtiy code and waited for it to admit him, with the buzzing of the door chime; he entered and summond to helper drones to assist him with the task at hand. Moving to the first outlander simply called Proto-1, he removed the core from the shell and moved to the next, he did this four more times tell he came to the latest in the bunch, Tamin :You I will keep," Mezitionsaid to him knowing that he could not hear him. summioning the drones "Take those five body to the processing plant to be melted down." MEzition informed them.
As the drones moved towards each of the five lifless bodys to place them in the cart that they brought with them, Mezition thought to himself of the task he had just completed, opeing his communicator and signling the Doctor, "Doctor the taks is complete, I have done as you have instructed me to do." Mezition told the doctor. "Good, now get back here at once so we may finish with Darksaber and get him ready for stais." Lithiony told Mezition. Placing his communicator back in to his shell, he looked over at the the drones finishing the task, he remarked to himself that the future looked bleak at that momnet for the hope of the Autobots just died.
"SO you see, the Outlander project was stopped do to the increase threat the each of you would be if you were ever discovered by the Decepticons." Pipes said in finishing his tale. With the ending of the tale, Darksaber stood and walked to the window over looking old Iacon distric, thuis was his home or what was left of it. "Pipes, a few questions I have" Darksaber started to ask Pipes. "Where did all this take place and what happend to the other putlander?" Darksaber asked. "Section 33 delta, sublevel 85, as for the other he should still be in the stais chamber." Pipes told Darksaber. " I want to go there" Darksaber told Pipes. "Whoa.. Lad if my memorie serves me right, thats right smack in Decepticon terriorty." Kup told Darksaber.
Hearing this from Kup, Pipes decide that it might be good if they went, what if they found the other. "Why not, Kup we know all the passages and we know of most of the Decepticons security mesures" Pipes said to Kup. "I dont know Pipes, its risky and what if we're caught" "It'll be a brezze, besides it might be good to see what the Decepticons are up to these days" Pipes told Kup. "YOur forgetting one thing, Ultra Magnus" Kup said in a serious tone. "HE'll be fine with it, besides we will be bring back two new Autobots," Pipes said to Kup. "Fine, if we're going to do it then lets go." Was all Kup said.
"Darksaber do you know your tranformation?" Pipes asked, "Tranformation, no I dont" "Access your internial memorie, you should be able to access it now." Pipes told Darksaber. Accessing the tranformation file, Darksaber learned that he had three modes, one of a jet and another as a hovercraft, what did this mean, why did he he have three modes? "I found it," Darksaber told Pipes. "Good then lets get to it" Pipes said while transforming, Kup did the same and both waited for him to do the same. Transforming in to the hovercraft mode he decided to keep the other mode to him self for the time being.
As the three begun their move in to Decepticon terrioity Darksaber thought to him self that this was all a dream and he was still in his stais pod and he was a lifless Autobot to be found. But he couldnt help be worried that he may have been awakend to sson or maybe to late, he felt that something was not right here and he may not be aboe to help. But he followed the other to the boarder of the Autobot and Decepticons, to his past and possiably another like him.
Traviling through the war torn streets of Cybertron, Darksaber wondered about what he would find in the depths pf Cybertron. "Pipes how much longer till the boarder?" Darksaber asked Pipes. "We'll be there in about 20 astro seconds" Pipes said answering the question. Seeing the distruction first hand made Darksaber feel sick, accoding to Pipes he was created to prevent this, so why dint the yactivate him instead of placing him in stais, as he thought this he noticed Kup and Pipes come to a stop near a sign that read "Cyber Hotel" beneth it was a burned out building.
"Why are we stopping?" Darksaber asked. "We're at the border" Kup said in response. All three transformered and with that, Darksaber walked to the side of the hotel and rested his back on it. Looking over the landscape, Darksaber could tell there was a battle fought here, how long ago? he couldnt tell. "Where are we?" He asked. Both Pipes and Kup looked at each other and both hung their heads low, but it was Kup who answered. " It was one of our most buetiful citys, many Autobots called this place home, over there, (pointing to a blasted rock) that was a satute of Rodimus Prime." Kup told him. "It was also our last front, we we're over run by the Decepticons forces, and we had to fall back to Kathlos Distric. Kup told Darksaber. "WHo leads these Decpticons?" asked Darksaber. " His name is SHockwave, he was once the guardian of Cybertron when the Autobots and Decepticons left, he was also Megatrons right hand during the war" Pipes said. "Why is that name fimilar to me?" asked Darksaber. "It should be, it was one of my memories that I gave you," Pipes told Darksaber.
Sitting down with his back still agisnt the wall, Darksaber decide it was time to look furthure in to these memories. He saw a past 300 years ago, he saw Cybertron experince a golden age. Autobots and Decepticons becoming friends, but in the end things would never be that peaceful. From the out reaches of space a Decepticon, Shockwave started to rally the remaning Decepticons in to a fighting force once agian, their only goal was to retake Cybertron in the name of all fallen Decepticons. They came in swift and strong, taking most of the outlaying cities before the Autobot guards could be called, and before any one knew what was happing, the war for Cybertron had started all over agian. Why did all this happen was all he could muttewr to him self.
"Wasnt there a Decepticon leader named Galvatron?" Darksaber asked. "Yea, there was, but after a few tries at taking over Cybertron, he was captured and sentenced to death sorta, His core concious was removed and his shell was melted down, his core though was placed on a rocket and blasted into a warp gate. "Kup told Darksaber. "Whats funny is that the melted shell was used as a corner stone for the new Degacon for the elders" Pipes said Darksaber. Both Kup and Pipes laughed at this little tid bit, but to Darksaber he wasnt much in a mood for laughing.
"This Shockwave, he can be stopped right" Darksaber said looking at first Kup then at Pipes. "Um, the problem is we dont even know where he is to stop him. He's smart and calculating" Pipes told Darksaber. As they waited there, Kup heard a all to fimilar sound, "Guys we better get under some cover" "Why... Damn I hear it now, come on Darksaber." Pipes said as he started to run in to the hotel. AS all three ducked under some cover in the burned out hotel. "What are we hiding from?" Darksaber asked. "Hear that noise, thats a couple of seekers" Pipes told him. With that Darksaber tuned his internal sensors to the new arrivals. "I'm picking up two objects about five astro- seconds from current position." Darksaber said informing Kup and Pipes.
Flying in formation, Dirge and Stalker patrolled the distric for any signs of Autobots. "Old Shocky must be getting pariniod, I dont see any Autoscum" Dirge said to Stalker. "Yea, he said he picked up three signals but I aint picking up a roborat." Stalker said. "Lets land and continue on foot, maybe we'll find something then" Stalker said to Dirge. Flying towards an open spot, Stalker and Dirge transform, "Where do we start?" Dirge asked. "Why dont we just walk around and blast a few things and say we dint find anything," Stalker said. "Hehe do you remeber when we attacked this place, all the screaming Autobots running around trying to fight us," Dirge said to Stalker, "Yea it was like shoting robo ducks in a pond" Stalker replied. As both seekers came around to the side of the old hotel, "Why dont we look in here" Stalker said while leaning to look in the window.
"Shut up, did you hear anything" Stalker asked. "No, why?" "I think its coming from the hotel." Stalker said to Dirge. Looking closer in to the hotel, Stalker tried to see if any thing was in there.
"Darksaber, keep it down" Kup said in a hush tone. THis was getting on Darksaber's nerves, he was built for war, battle not for hiding from two Decepticons. Inching his way over to the window, Darksaber saw Satlkers shadow on the far wall, if he was going to do anything he better do it now, he thought.
"Dirge I think we got company" Stalker said, "Yea big dumb ones"Dirge. With this said Darksaber made his move.
Getting him self in to postion, Darksaber reached up and grabed Stalkers head and flug him in to the wall "Heh.. what.."stalker said while flying in to the wall, hitting the wall with enough force to crack it, stalker had no idea who threw him. Standing from his postion at the window, Darksaber stood up. "Who..Who did this?" Stalker manged to say, "I did," Darksaber said. Looking up Stalker saw who his attacker was and some how he had nothing to say except, "Dirge....Dirge get in here now" Stalker yelled at the top of his voice processros.
While this was going on Kup was getting restless because of the sitution, "We got to help him" Kup said, "No, lets see what he can do" Pipes told him. This is going to be murder thought Kup.
Standing, Stalker got up the nerve to ask, "Who are you?" "I'm a nightmare" is all Darksaber replied. Not noticing Dirge sneaking up behind him Darksaber pulled at his rifle to finish off Stalker. Just as he was about to pull the trigger somehting pointy touched his neck, "I dotn think you want to do that pal" Dirgae said to Darksaber. "YOur in for it now" Stalker said while Darksaber was lead to the wall by Dirge. All this made Darksaber smile, they had no clue what they were in for. "What do you two pieces of junk think yyour going to do to me?" Darksaber asked. This made both Stalker and Dirge look at each other in confusion, " What.. We're going to gut you then we're gonna take you back to the old man for inspection, hows that autoscum" Dirge told Darksaber.
"We have to help him, hes out matched"Kup said while reading his rifle, "No Kup, he was built for this, give him achance" Pipes said while holding Kup back. Both looked on from the shadows.
"So, who gets the honors," Darksaber asked the two seekers. "I do.." Dirge started to say when he felt himself bing picked up and thrown in to Stalker, "Ugh... get off of me you idiot" Stalker said while pushing Dirge off of him, "Where his he?" Dirge asked. "Looking for me you idiots," Darksaber asked, "Where his he?" Dirge asked out loud. 'Click' and with that sound Dirge turned around and came face to face with a long and deadly rifle.
"I guess you found me" Darksaber said while looking at Dirge. "UH..Uh Stalker you might want to turn around, now."Dirge said. "Why... oh jezze" Stalker said while backing up. "Why dont we leave, you wouldnt want to get hurt now would you?" Stalker said to Darksaber, though he tried to sound gruff he was clearly scared and leaking fluid.
With that being said, both seekers feld, tumbling out the window and transforming in to their jet modes. Both fleeing from harm.
Coming from the shadows, Kup and Pipes came around to see the two trials of fire in the sky, "Now that something you dont see everyday" Kup said while laughing, "Two Decepticons, giving up in the precence of one AUtobot, wounder what old Shockwave will have to say about this." PIpes said laughing as well. "Are those two typical of all Decepticons?" Darksaber asked, this made Kup and Pipes stop laughing, "Those two, no their lackeys, but the others are worst, not afrid to face an Autobot." Pipes said in respone to Darksabers question. As Darksaber looked out at the sky and noticeing the jets still there, he new things had just gotten worse, he was involved in this war now, something he did not want to be. Things had just gotten darker.
