A page dedicated to all
my Friends and Friendship.
I know that many people share the
hope that time for division and polarization have long past. It is time
to become a brotherhood of men and women. Light is the level of reaching
higher than yourself, deeper than evertything in the world. We can learn
something, and know more or feel more. This is not the level of light yet.
Sometimes we learn a word, and it get so very deep in your heart. Suddenly
we reach somewhere deeper than the deepest part of ourself. This is called
light.
I also believe humanity is one,
a wholeness. And step by step this is a hope for the Internet, that people
can realize that it is put into the hands of man: Human beings can make
the earth like heaven, or people can make it hell. People can make it as
big as G-d wants it to be, or people can make it as small as a flashlight.
So I do see the symbolic value of
Mandala.

northern lights over the Arctic
Ocean
ten blue whales dance in a a circle
heads in the middle
spouting up jets of water
one huge fountain
rising to the blazing sky
while the whales sing
at the top of the fountain
three blue baby-whales bathe
in colours and sounds
wearing amethyst stones on their
forheads
looking happy and healthy
growing
the bigger they grow the lighter
they become
spouting jets of sparkling rainbow
against the sky
while the whales underneath
become lighter and lighter
rising over the water joining them
thirteen whales float in the sky
huge
light
blue
wearing amethyst stones on their
forheads
dancing higher and higher
over the northern lights

To Siniora: My New Friend in Gaza (6.8.99)
By Ada Aharoni
Your shy smile under your veil
And luminous dark eyes in the theatre
Of life, of strife, caught my eye
In the Ability Center in Khan Yunis,
I invited you to take a picture with us
And you charmingly agreed.
I gave you my poetry book translated into Arabic,
You read and surprised, said, "You love peace as much as I do!"
You gave me your address and asked for more books,
I promised to send you all my twenty books.
Then pointing out from the window
To the impressive new buildings, you wistfully said,
"We have to build Gaza with peace poems too,"
And we became new friends.
With women it is as easy as that.
You asked me about my children,
I asked you about your family,
You showed me your artwork,
I showed you my writing, my pictures,
You smiled and said, your children look
As peaceful as you, as peaceful as mine.
You showed me your beautiful museum
With gorgeous embroidered Palestinian dresses,
You asked: "Which one do you like best?"
I pointed to the dark blue with red embroidery,
Like the one I used to proudly wear
In Egypt, and my poetry presentations, a long time ago.
"I'll embroider it for you, and send it to you to Haifa,"
You promptly, softly said.
I was so moved and hugged you dear Siniora,
My new, warm friend in Gaza,
With women it is as natural, as easy as that.
When our blue bus drove away,
We both waved to each other with a smile
Followed by a tear in our eyes,
My wonderful new friend in Gaza -
With women it is as natural, as easy as that.
Men ! Learn from women for a change,
Let women help you make friends, make peace -
With women it is as natural,
As human as that.
