WALKING WELL

Keeping your chin off your
chest improves your breathing
and beats looking at concrete.
(Another reason why using a cane
is a plus!

Wear comfortable shoes that
support your feet well. Step on
heel and rock forward to your
toes as you continue to walk.

Don't use hand weights, they
cause additional problems. If you
use a cane, change hands periodically
so that each arm gets a
relaxing to and fro swing as you
walk.

Don't worry about setting a
walking record. Just five minutes
a day every day will do wonders.
