Vascular Improvement Program

In keeping with the Community Hospital philosophies of service to the community and partnerships between physicians and hospitals, the concept of the Vascular Improvement Program (V.I.P.) was born. This program seeks to attack the #1 killer of adult Americans which is disease of blood vessels leading to heart attack, stroke, or other end-organ disease. The Vascular Improvement Program is a team approach between multi-departmental hospital personnel and physicians with the common goal of helping you to identify and to alter your cardiovascular risk factors.This program utilizes: 1) this web site, 2) V.H.S. video tapes (produced both locally and commercially) for use on your home V.C.R.'s, 3) classroom sessions to be held at Community Hospital of Anderson, Indiana at their Education Center and under the direction of Health Promotion specialists, and 4) written materials. Much attention and many dollars rightfully go toward cancer screening and prevention each year. It would seem reasonable to invest a few minutes to address the modifiable risk factors of vascular disease (the #1 killer) in an attempt to reduce, to delay, or to prevent illness and to extend longevity. This Vascular Improvement Program is designed with you in mind because you are a "V. I. P." to us. The benefits of this program will be directly related to what you choose to make of it. Good luck!
