The following are my attempts at the art of
woodburning, also known as pyrography.

	This was my first woodburning, done with a beginner's Walnut Hollow woodburning pen on a 4" basswood circle.

2nd & 3rd woodburnings, also on 4" basswood circles

	Here is another version of the praying angel on a 4" basswood square. It is lightly colored with oil pencil.

This was burned for a friend with whom I teach.

	This was burned on a small papier-mache ornament ... 4"x3".

This was my first burn using a photograph as a pattern.

The following burnings were done as part of a friendship quilt. Each member burned several 4" wooden squares, one for each member of the quilt, and sent them out. In turn, each member received a new quilt square from the other members. I did four different patterns and sent them to about a dozen other people. It was great fun!!

I only did one burn of the cabin. It was for a special friend who encouraged me to begin woodburning. He has a woodburning site called The Woodburner which is listed on My Favorite Links page .
