First Aid Competition

First Aid Competition is another important activity for the St. John Ambulance Malaysia of Keat Hwa Secondary School's Divisional. Every year, participants are sent to compete in the competition organised by St. John Ambulance Malaysia.

The teams sent to represent St. John Ambulance Malaysia of Keat Hwa Secondary School's Divisional will compete in the Kedah Northern Region Area First Aid Competition. If they succeed at that level, then they will go on to the state and national level. They even can go up to the international level if they achieve success in the national level.

In 1975, this division sent its first team to participate for the first time in the Kedah Northern Region Area First Aid Competition. The team then became the champion. This success gave a kick to the division to do much more better. In 1976, this division sent its first ambulance cadet team to participate in the competition. The both ambulance and nursing cadet team became the champion. Both team represented Kedah to the national level's first aid competition. The division achieved much glory success in the state and area competition in the following years.

In 1980, the nursing cadet team became the national champion and the ambulance cadet did it in the following year.

In 1991, all the four teams sent by the division became the champion in the area and state level's first aid competition. Later, they represented Kedah to the national first aid competition and the Kedah's Contingent was the national champion. The four teams were ambulance cadet, nursing cadet, ambulance adult and nursing adult.

In 1993, the glorious achievement was once again achieved by the division. All the three teams sent by the division to participate in the state level's first aid competition became state champion. The nursing cadet later became national champion and represented Malaysia to the first aid competition between Malaysia and Singapore.
