Hello, I'm 33 years old and somedays can't even remember that. I have bi-polar. I'm on medication and have been on many different kinds since about 10 years ago. I have been on many different types and nothing has really helped. I'm in that re-cycle mode rig t now. Not real high, not real low. Each day is a new day and I pray each and every night for a good day the next day. I haven't had a manic for about five years which, I guess is good but, the depression comes and goes about every two to four weeks. his causes me to fall into a deep depression going to bed for days at a time. My family really loves me and are a great support, but try telling a four year old that mommy is just sad. My faith and trust in God and my support from my husband keeps me g ing. At first I thought I was the only one going through this but, with gracious people like you I know that we are not alone. God Bless You and Others like You! Suz

I am so pleased with what I have read. I printed it out. I want to read everything again. I have several bii-polar problems. I suffer from manic depression, anxiety, sleep problems and last but not least, I use food to confort and I have a serious weight roblem. I have been seeing a psychiatric for close to 1 year. I am on two medications just from him. I take Neurontin and Ambien. I take Premarin, Norvasc and Lipitor from my family Doctor. I want to share my story with those who have the same problems. I have many stories. I thank Jesus for loving me and keeping me in his arms. I am trying to find my way. What do I do next? Thank you, Marie

I was diagnosed with bi-polar 5 or so years ago. I am on Lithium, Paxil, Klonopin. I am so thankful that I 'stumbled' across this website, there is comfort when you can share with brothers and sisters. I feel like I am on a rollercoaster sometimes and ow there is another safe place to turn. I have a good doctor, I am thankful to the Lord for leading me to him. And to you all!

Wow. You never know where a Christian who believes in Salvation through the blood of Jesus will be found. Unbelieveable. I am astonished. Wow. I am also glad. I have been a Christian since 1981 (real age is 35). Due to a recent episode at a church here CORE was more important than people, an event happened that put my wife into the hospital. Long story. Bad anger toward these people. Pray for me and my wife Nancy. Thank you.

What a wonderful site this is. God bless you. Yes if it wasn't for God, I would not be here today. I have been suffering with bi-polar disorder for the last 15 years. It has been 6 years since I have had a major episode. That is when it(my life) almost en ed. I am glad I am here today so I can halp other people with this disorder. I have read and know all about what I have and have also been a guinee pig many many times in the past. Right now I am fairly stable. A bit depressed, but work stress might have omething to do with that. I have a lovely small family and live in a town of 1800 people. My hubby's name is Bob and I have a 10 year old son named Thomas. They are my blessings in life too. They are always here for me when the chips fall. I have my good days and bad. I am on the medications: Depakote-Wellbutrin-Prozac & Clonopin. This so called "drug cocktail" seems to be working very well for me right now. I hope it stays that way because I have taken almost all of the other mood stabilizers. Well I have to go for now. I am very glad I have a new place to come and a place where I can feel safe. Thanks and God Bless, Tammy Gibler

I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder in November of 1996. This was about five years after my mother was dignosed. It runs in my family. It is genetic (in my case, at least). Because of this I know how it feels to struggle with the disorder as well a how it feels to live with a loved one that is struggling. How did I find this page? Easy! I work at the same United Methodist Church that "Babette" mentioned that she worked at.

Your symptoms sound so like mine... and while I realise that I am not the only one who suffers... it sometimes feels that way, as though I am (to use the analogy of my very dear, very close friend, M.) in a dark cave. somewhere deep under the earth, and I can not find my way out, I know that the outside is accessible, but I feel unable and unworthy to be there... I am down here as I am unworthy to live with the happy, shiny people... yes, i trip over the ladders, and stub my toe on matches... but do I care... no... but then the next day, or week, whatever, I am fine, I am the happiest, shiniest person in the universe... I am me and i am free... then again in the pit...
