SUICIDE (Just Don't Do It!) (revised: August, 1998)

Suicide, just don't do it. Anyone can think about it, that's it, just a thought. It's like mums the word. Suicide, it seems like an easy solution after an injury if we survived a near death experience. We are here for a reason, to do our best, believe in God and show others that there's always a way. Suicide, it's true, I myself have thought about it, that's it, just thought about it. Today, I think you could find someone and talk about it. What's happening? What's going through your head at times? How are you feeling? There are a lot of unanswered questions. Someone has to listen. Talk - listen. Discover the different answers to the problems we face. Remember to talk to more than one person. Different people have different answers to the same questions. It's up to you to listen for the best one.

I have days when I get so frustrated trying to do something I know is simple but yet here I am having trouble with it. It's like so easy, I know I could do it, but I'm still having a hard time with it. I have checked out some support groups, the one I'm at now is good, I only pray it will grow. I heard about a support group in Danvers, MA that closed down because of short attendance. "Where is everybody??" Are some people in denial or maybe it's just that this place is too close to home. I'm asking people from Danvers, MA and all over to come down to Salem, MA to our Brain Injury support group. Let's keep this group going. You/we can discuss anything in our group.

I try my best in working out in Peabody, MA on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The other days I buy things I need to get by to take care of number one, OK J., two and three are very important too.

I have days when everything that could go wrong does. I still try my best to stay the three C's (cool, calm and collective). It's like one's life is on a ticking bomb and no one knows the time limit. Suicide, you can think about it, just don't do it. There are a lot of people out there like you or worse. Suicide, talk to someone or write about it like me. Life is a mystery. Let's spend the rest of our life trying to solve it.

-------------- Author's Notes --------------

This story inspired by real life experiences due to Brain Injury. I'm not a professional, I just look like one. See ya, take care and always talk to someone or write. God bless you, be strong and take care of number one, two and three, Thanks J.
