A SHORT INTRODUCTION

Recently I have organised Protests at the local Org of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) which, for nearly a half century, has been conducting itself in a manner too frequently contemptuous of civilised law.

Infact, the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) was heavily fined in the '70s for infiltrating, spying on and stealing documents from several Government Agencies in Canada and the United States. Several members of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm), including the wife of the Founder L.R.Hubbard, received and served jail terms in the United States for these crimes. Here in Canada, after more than a decade of legal wrangling, the Ontario Court of Appeals upheld the fines imposed upon the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) by the Crown, even though these fines were a minor infringement of certain Rights and Freedoms of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) membership.

Incidentally, as a by-product of the their unapologetically contemptuous conduct, the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) libelled, repeatedly, a Crown Prosecutor named Mr. Casey Hill. Mr. Hill sued the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) and received the largest court awarded libel settlement in the history of Canada to date, in excess of two million dollars.

"Too often outlaw-like" is not an exaggeration in describing the conduct of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm), neither is "too frequently contemptuous of civilized law". Documentation of this proliferates the Net. The 'Church' of Scientology(tm) products and presence have been banished by Greece. It has senior staff serving time for manslaughter in France. France also convicted L.R.Hubbard the Founder of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm), in absentia, and handed him a four year sentence. The 'Church' of Scientology(tm) has staff on trial or convicted for a variety of frauds and misconducts in Italy and Spain. Many other European countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Russia are unhappy with this Corporation. This is because the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) has a policy to attack anyone it deems an enemy via a variety of means, legal and otherwise, in the media and the courts.

The 'Church' of Scientology(tm) acts in this manner because of certain policies and doctrines of conduct set down in writing by their late Founder: L.R.Hubbard. Doctrines and policies the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) feel they must adhere to, even if it is contemptuous of "wog"* laws and "wog citizen's" civil rights. (*'Wog' or sometimes: 'Raw Meat" are their terms for those outside the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) ranks.)

Here are a few examples, in Hubbard's own words, of the reprehensible policies and doctrines of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm):

"People who attack Scientology are criminals."

"...if one attacks Scientology he gets investigated for crimes." "If one does not attack Scientology, despite not being with it, one is safe."

"ENEMY: Suppressive Person [Enemy of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm)] Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologisy. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed."

"This is the correct procedure:

1. Spot who is attacking us.
2. Start investigating them promptly for FELONIES or worse using our own professionals, not outside agencies.
3. Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation of them.
4. Start feeding lurid, blood sex crime actual evidence on the attackers to the press.
5. DON'T EVER tamely submit to an investigation of us. Make it rough, rough on attackers all the way."

"A truly Suppressive Person [Enemy of the 'Church' of Scientology(tm)] or group has no rights of any kind and actions taken against them are not punishable."

"The homes, property, places and abodes of persons who have been active in attempting to suppress Scientology or Scientologists are all beyond any protection of Scientology Ethics, unless absolved by later Ethics or an amnesty."

"Handling truth is a touchy business...Tell an acceptable truth."

"...the purpose of the [law] suit is to harass and discourage rather than to win."

"The law can be used very easily to harass, and enough harassment on somebody who is simply on the thin edge anyway, well knowing that he is not authorised, will generally be sufficient to cause his professional decease. If possible, of course, ruin him utterly."

"The reason a democracy or any wide open group caves in lies in its extending its privileges of membership to those who seek to destroy it."

"It must be noted however that promiscuity, perversion, sadism, free love, homosexuality and other irregular practices fall far below an acceptable level of ethics."

"The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered."

"There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the tone scale, neither of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the tone scale by un-enturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes. The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow."

Nasty little set of principles and programs to adhere to aren't they?

The 'Church' of Scientology(tm)!

Judge Breckenridge, Los Angeles Superior Court, had this to say about Scientology:

"The [court record is] replete with evidence that [Scientology] is nothing in reality but a vast enterprise to extract the maximum amount of money from its adepts by pseudo scientific theories...and to exercise a kind of blackmail against persons who do not wish to continue with their sect..."

"In addition to violating and abusing its own members' civil rights, the organization over the years with its "fair game" doctrine has harassed and abused those persons not in the church whom it perceives as enemies."

Justice Rosenberg of the Ontario Court of Appeals was equally blunt:

He noted that the breaches of trust victimized 'large, powerful institutions such as the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of the Attorney-General," whose offices had been infiltrated by church agents in the mid-1970s. "In another case, however, the victims could be the parishoners or members themselves."

Last May 10, 1997, and thereafter, I have organised very successful Protest Demonstrations at the 'Church' of Scientology(tm) of Toronto Offices or Org. and elsewhere too.

They knew we were coming for the first Picket on May 10, 1997, but they only had my name to work with. So they did some very 'selective' research of my postings to the news group alt.religion.scientology. And they came up with a little tawdry handout about me, ( a 'Dead Agent' Packet ) for the protest. They tried, mostly vainly, to hand out this 'Black PR' sheet to the public during our protest. Signed by one Mr. Al Buttnor, a Co$ 'Reverend'.

I have a few choice remarks and replies for 'Rev.' Buttnor's black PR of me.

I managed to make a nice short audiotape of 'Rev' Buttnor and myself having a 'talk' at the Protest. The transcript is available for your amusement.

Watch this site. I will keep you apprised through my 'Whats New' section of what additional 'Fair Game' actions the Co$ takes against me or other local protesters.

Of course, the obvious first choice for the Church of Scientology(tm) of Toronto is to harass my ISP, for providing a venue for my Free Speech and me for using Free Speech.
And they have!

But, I am just a "wog" and a Suppressive Person to Reverend Al Buttnor of the Toronto Org. of the Co$. Therefore, in his doctrine, I shouldn't have any citizens rights. And The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is very inconvenient when invoked by an ENEMY to express any opinion critical of the Church of Scientology(tm)!
