COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.

(Caught you looking, didn't I, 'Reverend' Buttnor?!)

At the September 6, 1997 Demonstration Mr Buttnor called the Police and apparently made false complaints about our conduct.
He also gave illegally made hardcopies of some of my Intellectual Property to the Metropolitan Police.
He apparently alleged some crime may have been committed by me in the presentation of my pages.

Mr. Buttnor should be advised: "the Copyright Act includes certain criminal offences, in addition to civil causes of action for copyright infringement. Under Section 42 of the Copyright Act, any person who knowingly distributes infringing copies of any work in which copyright subsists, either for the purposes of trade or to such an extent as to affect prejudicially the owner of the copyright, is guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine or imprisonment." - T Sinnott, Lawyer for RTC in Canada.

This is most ironic because in RTC vs Henson, 1997 in the United States, Judge Whyte maintained that the possible Illegalities of content of copyrighted documents were of secondary concern to the Intellectual Property Rights of the Copyright Holder and granted a Permanent Injunction prohibiting Mr. Henson from sending a copy of a Scientology Document called 'NOTS 34' to the FDA.
[Mr. Henson, and others, contend 'NOTS 34' openly claims Scientology processing, in conjunction with the E-METER, may be used to Cure Illness. This claim, if correct, is a direct contravention of a existing Injunction by the US Government which strictly and specifically prohibits Scientology from making such a claim of the Medical Efficacy of the E-METER.]
Apparently Mr. Buttnor does not have any moral qualms about violating my IP Rights similarly, even tho' a Scientology Front Group, the RTC, argued successfully before Judge Whyte in the US that Mr. Henson's Action and therefore similarily Mr. Buttnor's Action, constituted an illegal Infringement of Copyright. Church of Scientology representatives have since called Mr. Henson a "Copyright Terrorist". I wonder if I should similarily refer to Mr. Buttnor?

A copy of the following was sent by Registered Mail to Mr. Buttnor, which he refused to accept.
The returned sealed envelope is now in my possession and I am currently shopping for a good IP Lawyer.

Dear Mr. Buttnor,

I am the owner of the Intellectual Property Rights to numerous works created by me including, but not excluding others, multiple Usenet Postings and Website Pages on the Internet and I am the holder of exclusive rights under the copyrights applicable to these and other similar materials. These materials, while on public display at my personal instigation, are still, under the applicable Intellectual Property and Copyright Laws, my singular property and the materials are my exclusively copyrighted or controlled works.

You have caused to be downloaded from the Internet and the World Wide Web and have, without my expressed permission, caused to be reproduced in printed form, certain of my copyrighted Usenet Postings and the contents of several of my World Wide Web Pages, including but not exclusively those pages at the URL:

and in particular the page at the URL:
http://www.cgocable.net/~elrond/4-CoSRoguesphoto.html.

These works have been downloaded and print copied and distributed by you or your associates, to others including, but not exclusively, member Officer(s) of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force, without my expressed authorisation. These works are protected by the Intellectual Property and Copyright Laws of Canada. Your unauthorised reproductions violate Canadian , United States and International Copyright Law.

I therefore request and expect that all such reproductions by yourself Mr Buttnor or any other individual or organisation acting in collusion or concert with yourself or the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group, promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or constituted, be immediately removed and recovered by yourself and or your agents and summarily, without hesitation or prevarication, be surrendered to me, via registered post or courier at the above address, and at your expense, within the next thirty (30) days.

I remind you that the Religious Technology Centre and Bridge Publications International, both Scientology controlled and affiliated organisations, have gone to extraordinary legal lengths themselves currently and in the past in an effort to protect copyrighted materials they merely allege to control.

The materials instant are unquestionably and irrevocably my Copyrighted Intellectual Property and are clearly marked as such on both the World Wide Web and the Usenet.

Further, I hereby enjoin and expect of you that you Mr. Buttnor or your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and all persons or organisations in active concert (*) or in collusion or participation with you or any other individual or organisation acting in concert or collusion with yourself, who receive actual notice of this letter by personal service or otherwise MUST IMMEDIATELY AND PERMANENTLY CEASE AND DESIST IN PERPETUITY from:

(a) directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, publishing, reproducing, distributing, performing, or creating derivative works based upon, the Copyrighted Intellectual Property of the following persons, entities and organisations which I solely or in conjunction with others do control: William G. Hagglund, Solarius El Rond, The Temple of At'L'An, At'L'An Artifacts, The Enlightened Self Interest Council for World Harmony, Masts of White Light, Fenris Ltd., Dragonstar Limited, N-Space Racer Designs and any others which I shall in future create, or control, in perpetuity, in any media now known or hereafter developed in any time, place or fashion, and in particular from engaging in any such acts in, on, or in connection with any computer, database, information service, electronic bulletin board service, network, storage facility, or archives, or other electronic or computer device, service, network or facility, including, without limitation, the transmitting or loading of any such materials onto, or downloading any copies of them from any such device, service, network or facility and that all such copies which yourself Mr Buttnor, your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and those in active concert or participation with them including, but not exclusively, the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology,where ever situated or constituted, whom have caused to be copied or copied onto any such device, service, network, or facility, be removed and transported or conveyed to myself, the true exclusive copyright holder, atyour expense, by registered post or courier forthwith;

(b) directly or indirectly, engaging in the unauthorized solicitation and/or acquisition, of any of my current or future works or works under my current or future control as above, or portions thereof, and specifically from soliciting, acquiring, seeking to acquire, or otherwise downloading any of my current or future works or works under my current or future control as above, or portions thereof, from any media now known or hereafter developed in any time, place or fashion, or from any computer, database, information service, electronic bulletin board service, network, storage facility, or archives, or other electronic or computer device, service, network or facility and that all such copies which yourself Mr.Buttnor, your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and those in active concert or participation with them including, but not exclusively, the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or constituted, have caused to be copied or copied from any such device, service, network, or facility, be removed and transported or conveyed to myself, the true exclusive copyright holder, at your expense by registered post or courier forthwith;

(d) causing or inducing any other person to engage in any of the foregoing acts prohibited by Copyright and Intellectual Property Law; and

(e) filing with the court, except under seal, any documents that contain any of my current or future works or works under my current or future control as above.

(*)Persons in active concert are ones who knowingly assist or encourage yourself Mr.Buttnor or the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or however constituted, in accomplishing those acts or in committing those acts prohibited by Copyright and Intellectual Property law, with the assistance or encouragement of yourself or et al.

(2) All copies of the of my current works or works under my current control as above, in yours, Mr Buttnor, or your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and those in active concert or participation with them including but not exclusively, the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or constituted, possession, shall be inventoried and an accurate and comprehensive list transmitted via email to myself at: within ten (10) days of the Registered Receipt of this letter, including any of my current works which have been or are within thirty (30) days to be filed with any court, anywhere and in any manner by yourself Mr Buttnor, or your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and those in active concert or participation with them including but not exclusively, the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or constituted.

I would remind you Judge Rosenberg of the Ontario Court of Appeals in upholding the criminal conviction and fines of the Church of Scientology in Canada, said the objective of applying criminal liability to religious corporations and their operatives "relates to a fundamental tenet of our society, namely that no person is above or beyond the law".

Instantly any criminal act committed by a member or agent of the Church of Scientology in Canada, for the benefit of the Church of Scientology is deemed to be a criminal act of the Church itself. I am certain this would be readily extended to any violations of my Copyrights and Intellectual Property previously, currently or in future by yourself Mr Buttnor, or your agents, servants, employees, and attorneys and those in active concert or participation with them including, but not exclusively, the Church of Scientology of Canada or any other Church of Scientology Organisation, affiliate or front group promoting or representing any portion of Scientology, where ever situated or constituted.

I am not seeking to become involved in litigation, but I will take all necessary measures to protect my Intellectual Property and Copyrights.

Time is of the essence in the instant matter.

I am sure that I can rely upon your active cooperation and I presume that you would agree that we can resolve this amicably.
