1. What is HPAIR?
The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) conference is an annual activity that gathers university students from around the globe to participate in meaningful discourse on a host of important issues concerning Asia. The prestigious Harvard University organizes the conference together with a host university chosen for the year.

2. What is the purpose of the HPAIR conference?
HPAIR primarily aims to facilitate dialogue between peoples of different cultures, thereby breaking cultural barriers. It gives students an unparalleled learning opportunity.

3. What is an HPAIR Network?
The need for an ongoing international forum with ties to universities and students throughout the world, prompted the creation of the HPAIR Network. It is composed of HPAIR organizations in local universities of different countries responsible for continuing and fostering the spirit of dialogue and exchange within their local settings. Every year, the Network expands to include more HPAIR clubs established in different universities all over the world.

4. How do I become a part of the UA&P HPAIR Society?
The UA&P-HPAIR Society is composed of students from the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), who have been or are participants in the annual Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) conference. Once you are accepted as part of the University's official delegation, you automatically become part of the Society.

5. Do I have to be part of the Society in order to become a delegate to the conference?
No. The yearly local application process in UA&P starts from January 10 until February 15. After this, interviews shall be scheduled for applicants. The official delegation is completed by the end of February.

6. What does it mean to be part of the delegation?
UA&P annually sends a well-prepared and exceptional delegation to the HPAIR conference. As a delegate, you will have to undertake some responsibilities as well as gain certain benefits. If accepted, you will undergo the training all previous delegates have undergone, be involved in the fund-raising activities, and need to attend all meetings required for the coordination of details regarding the travel and conference participation. The officers of the UA&P-HPAIR Society shall take care of all travel arrangements, initiate fund-raising projects, and send out sponsorship letters to help cover some expenses.They will also help to ensure your fruitful participation in the HPAIR Conference.

7. Is there financial assistance?
The applicant must be sure of being able to provide his own payments, and look for sources of funding. Of course, the Society will do its part by conducting fundraising activities and providing solicitation letters for sponsorships. However, funds generated from these may not be sufficient. The Harvard Staff does provide financial aid, but this is a competitive process and the aid does not cover all costs.
