Be Part of the 2003 Delegation

As part of the HPAIR Network, the Harvard Staff requires applicants from the University of Asia and the Pacific to go through the Society's screening process. Only those who are currently students or members of the faculty of the University of Asia and the Pacific can become part of the official University of Asia and the Pacific delegation. All applicants for the delegation must be undergraduate or graduate students no older than 26 years of age. Those not fitting the age criteria will be given observer status. The local application process in the University of Asia and the Pacific will be from January 10 until February 15. The applicants are subsequently interviewed. The official delegation shall be completed by the end of February.

Application Procedures/Instructions

1) Get an application form (available in the Society Box located by the SEB board). You may also email us with "application form" as your message's subject and we will send you the application form. Fill in the application form completely.If the applicant is accepted, all relevant information provided will be published on the Delegate Profile Portfolio to be distributed during the conference.

2)Provide soft and hard copies of the particular essays required. Documents should be saved on rich text format only (.rtf), times new roman font type, sized 11.

3) Submit all the requirements in a short brown envelope with your name, year level, and course written at the upper left corner at the back of the envelope. Place the envelope in designated drop areas or submit to any of the 2001-2002 UA&P HPAIR Society officers. The deadline for submission is on or before February 15, 2002.

4) Schedules of the panel interview session will be posted on the CAS bulletin boards and through email. Application is considered withdrawn if the applicant does not show up for the designated time of interview. No reschedules.

5) Final decisions will be released within one week of the interview sessions. Good Luck!

Requirements

1. Personal Statement - In a short essay (not more than 1 page, single-spaced) please explain why you are interested in joining the delegation to Australia and what qualities you believe you can bring to the group.

2. General essay on most preferred workshop as indicated in your application form. Essay should be double-spaced with 700-900 words. Be as concrete and specific as possible. Essay should be double-spaced and between 500-700 words. Please be as concrete and specific as possible. Cite sources.

3. General essay on the theme. Essay should be double-spaced and between 350-500 words. Please be as concrete and specific as possible. Cite sources.

4. Curriculum Vitae - CVs should be limited to 1 page only.

5. Class Break Schedule. (soft copy not required)

6. 3 passport-sized photos

7. P150.00 application fee, payable during the panel interview
