Battery Winslow (12 - 122)

Named after Brig. Gen. Eben Eveleth Winslow and built of reinforced concrete
and steel covered with earth beginning in 1941. Construction completed in 1943
but the gun shields weren't installed until 1945. This battery was armed with
two 16-inch MKII M1 Navy guns on M4 barbette carriages (1943 - 1948).
A B.C. Station is on top of this battery.
