This pedestal is all that remains of the Mine Group Secondary
Station
. Located on the upper level of the old fort, it was a
one-story wooden building built in 1908.

The SCR-296 Radar Tower foundation outside the casemates.
Built in 1943, it served Battery Gates.

Searchlight #3 (later renumbered #21) tower foundation and debris
among the rip raps next to Battery Gates. Built in 1930, it replaced
an old wooden tower.

Searchlight #4 (later renumbered #22) tower foundation and
debris among the rip raps outside the casemates. Built in 1930.

This may be a machine gun position. There are two others like this,
all located along the seawall on top of Batteries Claiborne and Dyer.
