What have we just learned?

We have just learned (in verses 3-4) that these Hebrews will be brought back to the land that they were exiled from. Did you notice it: by Whom? Who will do this? Thus, who are they opposing who are blocking the actual fulfillment of these words?

These words were written into a

book in about 587 B.C.E. (per instructions) by Jeremiah, the prophet (who had been "taking dictation"). Whose words were they? The one "taking dictation" or the "Dictator?"

And, by the way, what are they actually saying about the "Dictator" (who say today that He no longer "dictates" to anyone)? Are there no pressing problems to solve?

Aren't they really acting like prophets (trying to predict the future actions of our Creator and Supreme Ruler)?
