More than 50 local Sailors availed themselves of the opportunity to have Mustang Officers, some of whom are former In-Service Procurement Board members, review their LDO/CWO applications in anticipation of the October 1 deadline. _________________________________________________ Norfolk, Va., Apr. 29, 2008 - Hampton Roads Navy Mustang Association hosted author Lt.Cmdr. As a special value-added, several In-Service Procurement Board members debriefed the Sailors on ways they can make themselves more competitive for selection. Attendees had the unique opportunity to play golf and swap sea stories in a beautiful setting. HR-NMA plans to make this an annual event and encourage Mustangs to mark their calendars for September 2008. _________________________________________________ Norfolk, Va., Jul. 21, 2007 - Hampton Roads Navy Mustang Officers hosted Sailors at two days of "LDO/CWO Program Career Days" at Naval Station Norfolk and Naval Air Station Oceana on Jun. 21 and 22. Attendees had the unique opportunity to bring their program applications and/or field service records for review. _________________________________________________ Norfolk, Va., Mar. 22, 2007 (Flagship) - Local Navy Mustang officers advised Sailors to prepare now, professionally and personally, to be competitive to apply for a commission as a Limited Duty Officer or Chief Warrant Officer at the LDO/CWO Program Career Days, March 8-9 at Naval Air Station, Oceana, and Naval Station Norfolk. MORE _________________________________________________ Portsmouth, Va., Dec. 20, 2006 (NNS) -- USS Harry S. Truman's (CVN 75) Mustang Association will be donating approximately 120 coats to the WAVY TV 10's Coats for Kids drive on Dec. 23. The Association held their own drive Dec. 7 through 13 while at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. MORE _____________________________________________________ Portsmouth, Va. Dec. 5, 2006 (NNS) -- Seventeen of the USS Harry S. Truman's (CVN 75) Mustangs arrived at the Ronald McDonald House in downtown Norfolk the morning of Nov. 28, volunteering their time for a good cause. MORE _____________________________________________________ Virginia Beach, Va., Mar. 10, 2005 -- The Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrant Officer brief held March 4 in the auditorium of the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Oceana drew a near-capacity audience.
