Southern-most point in the Continental US: Key West, Florida. |
This is billed as the southern most point in the continental U.S.A. It's a 7 foot high, 7 foot wide mound of cement, painted yellow, black, white and red. It's supposed to be 90 miles from this point to Cuba.
To get credit for finding the cache e-mail the date it was dedicated, then record your find. No need to wait for a reply.
This cache is easily accessed by car. (Get out and walk 5 feet.)
There were no caches this far south in the keys, so I figured I'd add this virtual one. It's a neat point to have at least.

A nice walk down from the cruise ship. Had some time to kill before the Hemmingway House & Lighthouse opened. Will post a pic of the rooster-topped, shell decorated "Southernmost Christmas tree" right next to the marker shortly.... tftc!

I have been to the Southernmost point of the US, so this was a treat to complete the set in CONUS. Now I need the Northernmost point...

In town on business - yeah - business is Key West - how lucky can a guy be? After we were done with our customer I said - swing by this spot -I got out while my buddy drove the car around the block. Thanks for the cache.
