This is a two-stage urban micro centered around a piece of South Florida history with some good eats at the end.

My first cache placed.

The coordinates above will take you to the 1st stage. Pretty standard fare for this type of micro. The show-piece for this stage would normally be visible from the cache location, but it is still recuperating from Wilma (or Katrina, or maybe Rita). Its current location is posted in the cache as well as the coordinates for the 2nd stage, which is several miles away.

The 2nd and more challenging stage is the former home of the above-mentioned show-piece. That home was torn down, of course. At least there is some good food in its place. This final stage is log only, so bring a pen.

This makes an ideal breakfast cache. Allow 1-1.5 hours before you want to eat. If breakfast is not your thing, the locale offers a wide variety of lunch and dinner as well as drinking ‘til 5 am. Bon Appetit!

We searched for stage 2 a few weeks ago, but didn't have any luck. As we were driving away, we noticed something that later on we thought the cache could be hidden in the area. Boy, were we off the first time! Today we found the cache right away! Terrible incident happened here before the place closed down many years ago!

If I remember correctly the statue crumbled before it could be delivered to its new location and a replica had to be built. I still have some early videos I took of the old place before Bill closed up shop and moved over to the west coast of FL to continue his research. TFTC - GO CANES! Cool

Last cache for team Aspirin before OB turns into a Punkin, time to pick up the Littles. I think it was Glades that needed the Aspirin, she drove around the lot as OB make quick work of the cache.

Thanks for the FUN
Lj

Man am I going to miss my team mates when I return to the land of cheese.
