| This cache is located in the Southern Glades Wildlife Management area. The road that leads to the entrance runs adjacent to a youth correction facility in Homestead, Florida. This correction facility used to be a Hawk missile site during the Cuban Missile Crisis. |
This cache is painted camo green so it blends in well with the surroundings. Bring pants if you are attempting this cache as you will have to do some bushwhacking. This cache is dedicated to Gatorman for providing South Florida geocachers the absolute best cache around... COMBAT! There are alligators in the area as we saw tracks and droppings on the way to the cache location. You have been warned, Muahahahaha!

Missed FTF by 1 day 
. Congradulations to Tedcool and Home Brewer for FTF. We were in the area yesturday but could not get away to get the cache. Went today and found with not problems. FTFC

Bring your machete! It was an overcast day, so as usual, my crappy GPS could only get me within 30 ft. before it started getting flaky.
After about a 1/2 hour of circling around my last good reading, I was ready to call in a napalm strike to clear the area. About that time I heard voices, and Tedcool came upon the scene with a REAL GPS, and we were able to find it in just minutes.
Took the mini fan, left a mini radio. TFTC

Sharing the FTF with Homebrewer on this one. I've got three words for this cache: poisonwood, poisonwood, and what was that other word? Oh yea, Poisonwood!
Right about the point where the last cachers turned around, its everywhere. There are points on the "trail" where you have to step it down, and others where you're doing the limbo. Wear long pants, long sleeves and get to know Metopium toxiferum, before you hit the field for this one. We were down for a quick visit. Not really ready for any serious caching. We thought we would give this one at least a look. We made it to within 300' and then shorts and T-shirts were not going to cut it. We will be back soon and better prepaired.
