The Rules
As in everything we do in life when trying to reach our goals, we need to have a game plan. In government and or business we have a manifesto to guide us through as terms of operation and policy. Since I am sports oriented I call my guidelines for losing weight; The Rules.
1.) Be accountable for YOURSELF! This, is huge because you really need to have a strong desire to succeed. Be honest with yourself, have patience and know that it will not be easy especially in the beginning. Know that this is not for a little while, but for the rest of your life. You can never go back to the lifestyle that put you here!
2.) Measure all of your portions - everything you eat must be measured according to the serving size, otherwise you will not know how to account for your daily intake.
3.) Keep a daily food diary that includes a balance sheet to add up the amount of fat grams calories and sodium milligrams you consume.
4.) Nothing can be consumed beyond 8 PM, other than water.
5.) Keep your meals balanced with the right proportions of proteins, fruits, and vegetables. Know your daily allowances of each and account for them on your food diary.
6.) Drink at least ten eight ounce glasses of water each day and keep a running count on your food diary.
7.) Make exercise a priority and meet your daily and weekly goals. Keep a workout log so that you can account for and make sure that your goals are met.
8.) Make all of these rules a priority. Everyone you know should be supportive and understand that what you are doing is the most important thing to you, and sacrifices will be made to meet them.
So there you have it, damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead, take no prisoners, no quarter. This is all about, YOU. Let nothing stand in your way!
