Super Mario World 2000 is my romhack (Game Edit) of Super Mario World for the SNES. It's still a work in progress, so don't expect too much. The BasicsThe romhack will feature 9 worlds, with varying difficulties ranging from almost novice level to insanely hard. The world map, featuring the names of the worlds, follows. ![]() ![]() World 1 is the large part of the island, from the start (where Mario is) to the first Castle. World 2 is the ocean area and the first Submap. World 3 is the second Submap, going from top to bottom. World 4 is the brown island at the bottom of the Overworld, including the tower. World 5 is the green island at the bottom of the Overworld, including the tower, and the third Submap. World 6 is the small peninsula on the first island, starting at the Pipe and continuing on to the Castle. World 7 is the fourth Submap. Worlds 8 and 9 are a secret for now! Screenshots - or the Game in Action!I only have 2 right now, but expect more in the future! ![]() This is the first part of the level "Hilly Vale 3" telling the player about the currents that he/she may expect. ![]() This is later on in the second part of the level. This is my favorite level so far! How to get this Romhack!Since ROMs (The actual data of a video game) are considered illegal (article), I can't give that to you. What I can give to you is an IPS (International Patching Standard) file, meant to be applied to the original ROM (Google it - look for "Super Mario World (U) [!].smc"). To play this game, you'll need an emulator (Program that can open and play ROMs). Find your emulator here at ZSNES dot com! Also, you'll need a program to apply the IPS patch. Get LIPS, the Lunar IPS patcher... along with some other things. If you're wondering about how I did this, look no further than the next link! |
