Education | I graduated from Montgomery High School. Currently, I am attending Cuyamaca College, a local community college (automotive dept. link here). I am participating in the Ford ASSET program there. This is an internship program where I will be completing my general ed requirements at school as well as getting area-specific automotive training for 8 weeks, and then working at a local Ford dealership for 8 weeks, getting college credit and pay at the same time. This cycle goes on for two years (summer too!). I just finished my first semester of work and am working at Drew as a electrical helper. I will hopefully come out with my Associate's degree in automotives and all the necessary ASE certifications to be a qualified mechanic. Anyway, if you want to know more, visit the ASSET link above. My sponsoring dealer is Drew Ford in La Mesa, CA. After the ASSET training, I am undecided as to what I will do. I guess it will depend on how much I like working at the dealership. I may stay working at the dealership. The money is good--a guy I know is getting $35,000 a year from his dealership straight out of ASSET training. I may go to school somewhere else, but that is undecided yet. My ultimate goal is to become an automotive engineer, which requires a lot of hard work. But then again, if I like working at the dealership better, and the pay is good, I may stay. Heck, if I stay long enough, I'd probably out-earn and engineer. |
Computer | Nothing fancy, but it's okay: Pentium 120, 32MB RAM (will be 48 when I snag 16 outta my mom's puter!), 1.2GB HD which I'd like to upgrade, 32X CD, Cirrus 2MB PCI video card, Yamaha 3D sound card. It's running Windows 98, and is networked with my mom's PC so we can share the internet connection. Works really well. |
Hobbies | Driving fast, working on cars (usually mine), computers, web page design, camping, watching TV (I watch enough that I can rightfully call it a hobby), and other stuff. |
