CHAPTER 26
Brian leaned down to lift Skye into his arms, kissing her as he walked. He just couldn’t get enough of her and his mouth ravaged hers mercilessly. He’d never felt this desperate need before.
He lowered her to the bed, moving back slightly to look at her. “You are so beautiful.” He lifted his hands to her shirt and lifted it in one movement, removing it and tossing it aside carelessly. “Truly beautiful.”
“Let me,” Skye said to him creeping up to him on her hands and knees. She slid her hands inside his shirt and ran her hands over his warm stomach, rising to his chest. Wriggling his shirt up, she finally had the edges in her hand and whipped it over his head dropping it to the floor beside the bed. Through lowered eyelids she looked up at him then down at his chest. She reached out and traced the scar on his chest dropping her lips to place a soft kiss on the thin line, her tongue sneaking out to slide along it. Looking back up into his eyes she saw such a raw desire illuminated in the blue pools she could tell he was desperately holding himself back. A moan escaped from deep within her, her insides a mass of heat coming in relentless waves throughout her body intensifying low in her belly.
With shaking fingers she reached for his jeans, unsnapping them and sliding the zipper down, not an easy task with Brian as aroused as he was. He was mesmerised, so overwhelmed with desire for her that he merely watched, his breathing heavy, his heart pounding. When she reached inside his boxers to take hold of him he groaned aloud, his body reacting instantly.
“Not yet Baby,” Brian said to her. “The two of us. We are going to hit the heights together.”
He helped her to wriggle out of her jeans leaving them both in their underwear that they quickly discarded. The look in Brian’s eyes as he watched her gave her the confidence she needed to continue. He had her heart now. It belonged to him and it was in his power to break it or keep it his forever. She knew though, that he would never break her heart, it would be his forever just as she had his.
Sitting in front of her he reached out and took her hands in his, lacing his fingers through hers. In slow motion he pulled each hand to his lips in turn, kissing each fingertip sensually, his tongue sliding over her skin made her shiver with desire. She wished he would hurry. She didn’t want to wait any longer even if what he was doing was incredibly sexy and arousing. Her nerve endings were on fire for him.
As if reading her thoughts he looked up into her eyes suddenly and urged her back on to the bed moving over her, his hands not letting go of hers still linked together above her head. His blue eyes locked with her honey eyes and in them she saw his promise for the two of them. Her hair spread out on the pillow like a golden halo and for a moment it reminded Brian of the underwater dream he had once had. Shaking the thoughts from his mind he brought himself to the present and the beautiful woman in front of him. She was real life, not a dream. As he poised over her she arched her back, sighing when she felt him at the entry to her feminine soul. Her eyes told him what she needed and with one swift thrust he entered her. His eyes burnt into her soul before he threw his head back in ecstasy, lowering his body down to hers.
Together they moved their bodies in perfect unison. Brian seemed to be expert in bringing Skye to the brink of release before slowing his pace to delay her final pleasure. She never questioned his expertise, all she knew was she felt special and adored and treasured and cherished. All the feelings of love that Skye had ever known Brian was bestowing upon her. Never before had she felt this intensity of love.
Brian’s lips began their exploration, kissing every part of her face delicately before moving down to her neck and collarbone. His lips nipped at her skin increasing the longing already burning her up, almost sending her over the edge when his tongue ran up and down her skin.
Just as she thought Brian would slow the pace once more, he increased the pace, thrusting harder and deeper. “I love you,” Skye screamed out. “Oh Brian, I love you so much.” Skye was overcome with a release of searing force. Her breathing was erratic keeping pace with her heartbeat that was totally out of control.
Brian grunted loudly as his release hit him before calling out Skye’s name. “God I love you,” he whispered in her ear echoing her words. He brought his lips up to kiss her soundly until they slowly returned to normal again. Skye didn’t think she would ever be normal again.
He rolled to her side and pulled her into his arms not saying a word for the longest time both of them content to be held in the others arms. Skye began to wonder if he had fallen asleep until his hand began to caress up and down her arm softly. He kissed her forehead working his way down to her lips where he gave her another earth shattering kiss.
“I have another surprise for you.” He whispered into her ear.
“A surprise? Brian I don’t think I can move. I don’t think I want to move. I want to stay here in your arms forever.”
He chuckled quietly. “You’ll like this one. Trust me.” He kissed her quickly again before sitting up pulling her with him. Skye clung to him not wanting to break the contact they had. Right at this moment she felt like she never wanted to let him go. “Come on,” he urged helping her up.
“Where are we going?”
“Shh!” he said to her putting his finger on her lips. He pulled her into his arms, their naked bodies fitting together perfectly. He kissed her briefly before turning her in his arms and walking towards the bathroom. He opened the door and led Skye in waiting for her reaction.
It came instantly. “Oh my God Brian. You did all this for me?” More roses were scattered around the spacious bathroom, there scent floating around them. Candles flickered brightly giving the room a dreamlike look and feel to it. That fit their situation perfectly.
He smiled at the surprise in her voice, his heart falling for her even more than he thought possible. Kissing her cheek, he whispered in her ear. “I would do anything for you. This is just a beginning.”
Skye looked to the spa bath that was now bubbling away, a shimmer of steam rising from the watery surface. She walked towards the bath and blew out two of the candles sitting on the edge. Turning to look at Brian, she waited for him to climb into the water. He knew what she wanted without her needing to say a word. Silently he climbed in, his hip brushing hers as he past her bringing out a long drawn out moan. He sat himself down in the bubbling water letting out a sigh at it’s slippery feel, knowing Skye would soon be sliding her body down in front of him. There was ample room beside him, but he knew she would choose to sit in front.
He held out his hand to help her in, eager to have her against him. Elegantly she sat herself right in front of him as he had guessed, turning to give him a seductive look before laying her body back against his, her head leaning on his shoulder. She lay her hands on his legs, moving them up and down slightly, waiting for Brian’s hands to come around her. She needed his arms around her body. She sighed with satisfaction when he lowered his hands, his fingers laying softly on the side of her breasts.
“You comfortable?” Brian asked her.
“Oh yes. Brian this is wonderful. I can’t believe you got all this ready. Is this what you did all afternoon since we got home?”
She was slightly turned in his arms and drawing small circles on the top of one of his thighs and it was messing with his brain. He was having a hard time concentrating on what she had asked him. “Yeah, I did.” He captured her hand in his, bringing it up to kiss her fingers. “I can’t concentrate when you do that.” She giggled at him when he said it, giving him a ‘who wants to concentrate’ look. He smiled back at her. He’d like to be doing other things right now, he wanted to more than anything else, but he also wanted to take it slowly this time. They were on vacation, and tonight was their night. Who cared if they slept tomorrow away? So long as it was together and in each others arms. “Don’t look at me like that. We have all night.”
Skye laughed and moaned at the same time. “Brian, don’t tease,” she said slapping his arm playfully.
“I’m not teasing you Baby, just slowing us down. That can be a lot of fun too,” he told her leaning down to kiss her again. “Now,” he said breathlessly, “to answer your question, yes, I did all this when I got home. It was going round and round my head as we were landing today…”
“I thought you were asleep when we were landing,” she interrupted him.
“I was, but landing will always wake me. Planning this special evening with you took my mind off it. That and having you so close beside me.” He smiled down at her. “That’s why I was so distracted and I apologise for that.” Skye merely smiled at him, forgiveness in her eyes. “I had to go to the CD shop to buy the CD. I have long realised that song could have been written for us. I had to play it to you, sing it to you. One thing led to another and my mind was going at a hundred miles an hour with plans. I wanted tonight to be perfect for you. For us.”
A smile crossed Skye’s face. “The song was perfect. You really are a romantic aren’t you?”
Her face was so close to his and he wanted to kiss her. “So I have been told,” he said almost breathlessly.
“You fit in with the family no problem,” she laughed. She frowned then and Brian shifted to look at her better. “They’ve really gone haven’t they?”
Brian nodded sadly. “Yes, I think they have.” He was going to miss Skye’s grandmother, he couldn’t imagine what losing her grandparents a second time was going to do to Skye. It was something he would share with her this time. “They’ve gone to where they will be at peace.”
She sighed. “I’m going to miss them again.”
“Of course you will. I am sure they will watch over us. They were so determined to push the two of us together,” he laughed softly.
“Yes, and it worked too. Didn’t it?” She seemed to want reassurance.
“It worked more than I think either one of them could have imagined Skye. I love you so much. They may have brought us together, but we hold the future in our hands.” He looked intently at Skye, needing to see her face as he asked her. “We do have a future, don’t we Skye?”
“I hope so Brian. I want it more than anything.” He saw the hope in her eyes before she turned away. She didn’t say anything for a while and he wanted to know what was going on in her head. He knew from experience that a relationship in his business was difficult, but this time was different. This time it simply had to work out. No other time had it been so important to him.
“Skye, it sounded like there was a ‘but’ in there. We can do this if we both really want it. I really want it. Please tell me you do too.”
“I do Brian,” she said quietly. “It’s just all so new for me. Unchartered territory. I have a safe peaceful existence here, one that I am comfortable with and I don’t even know exactly what your life is like. It scares me.”
“I don’t want you to be scared Skye. I’ll be with you every step of the way. We’ll work something out.” This wasn’t going the way he had planned. Their future was exactly that, their future. Together they would work that out. All he wanted right now was a special closeness. Now was not the time to worry about how they would work things out. He lifted her face up to meet his locking his eyes with hers. “Right now, I just want to love you,” he said to her before crashing his lips down on hers, his tongue pushing it’s way past her lips to slide over hers.
Skye moaned loudly and gave herself up to Brian’s charms. When he kissed her all rational thought left her mind, and when he kissed her like this she was totally under his spell. She turned in his arms to be face to face with him, her body fitting perfectly on top of his in the bubbling water. He was ready for her, she could feel that, and it took no effort to slide herself onto him. He broke the kiss and threw his head back, a guttural groan coming from deep within him as he thrust his hips up to meet her. The water, already bubbling, began to splash over the sides as they moved neither one of them noticing.
“We need to go back to bed,” Brian said to her.
“No Brian. I can’t.” The water had heightened her feelings and Skye didn’t want to leave the spa bath, keen to continue where they were. The water splashing around them, his hands touching her, their bodies sliding over one another sensually, gave Skye a feeling of desire she had never felt before. The intensity overwhelmed her and when she began to feel the beginnings of her release she cried out collapsing on top of Brian.
His hands came around her to steady her as she slowly returned to normal, her breathing slowing as he held her. He could still feel her heart pounding in her chest and he lifted her face brushing his fingers through her hair gently. So softly, his lips kissed her face first on her forehead, her cheek, her ear, before settling on her lips. Skye wanted him to deepen the kiss, her desire for him still strong, but he pulled back.
“Brian?”
“Come on, let’s go back to bed now.” His hand cupped her cheek lightly.
“But you haven’t…” She blushed.
He grinned at her obvious embarrassment. “Skye. Don’t you worry about that.” He winked at her. “Lets go back to bed and we can fix that.”
She laughed at him then shook her head, again overwhelmed at the emotions racing through her. She almost hadn’t recognised herself. “Brian. Did you used to dream about us… About us making love?” she asked out of the blue. Now it was his turn to blush. “You did, didn’t you?”
He gave her a devilish grin. “Yeah, I did,” he admitted to her. “A few times. But they paled in comparison to reality.”
“Hmm,” she said, pretending to think. “That’s okay. Because I did too.” She laughed and started to climb out of the spa only to be pulled back into Brian’s arms. “I thought we were going back to bed,” she said batting her eyelids innocently.
“We will. First this,” he said to her lowering his lips for the kiss she had been waiting for. If they didn’t get out of the spa soon there would be a repeat of what they had already shared. Brian guessed that and moved back, urging her to stand up. He helped her out and reached for a huge white fluffy towel, wrapping it around the both of them and kissing her again.
They took their time drying one another before Brian led her back to his bedroom and they climbed in to bed. For the longest time they held each other lovingly, neither one of them needing any more than the close contact they shared between them. They fell asleep like that, holding each other closely, waking together to make love again through the night. A bond was being formed that neither one of them could deny or prevent even if they were able to. It was their destiny.
