Chapter 16

"Are you hungry?" Brian asked Sue later as they lay together their arms around each other.

"Hmm, for food?" Sue giggled. Brian rolled his eyes and smiled at her. "Yes, I am actually. The food on the plane wasn't much."

"Well, we better get you something. I am a little hungry myself." Brian winked at her. "You wore me out."

Sue laughed, feeling a little worn out herself. "You know it's funny."

"What's funny?" Brian asked reaching for the phone. "What would you like to eat?"

"Pizza? Oh and can you get them to bring my luggage up please?" Brian nodded and told room service the order before hanging up. "Funny is us. Look at us. We are both totally at ease with each other. Making love like… I don't know. Like we are perfect together. Like dynamite."

"We are perfect," Brian interrupted.

She put her finger on his lips. "Shhh. I mean only a short while ago we were hesitant to kiss one another and now this." She stopped to think about what she was saying. She was drawing lazy circles on his chest. "Brian. You make me feel so good, but it is more than that. It is the love I feel coming from you. That's what makes it perfect." She looked up at him and he noticed tears in her eyes. "You make me feel so special."

"Don't cry, please." He wiped the tears away. "I know what you mean, I really do. You are special to me and I want you to know it, I want you to feel it. I want to show you every day, every minute. I was hesitant at first, but that was because I wanted everything to be right. I didn't want to scare you away." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "You are my special girl."

"No one has ever made me feel like this Brian. No one."

"And no one else ever will again," he said boldly. He wanted her to know how he felt.

"No one? Ever?" She raised her eyebrow questioningly.

"No, only me," he smiled almost nervously hoping he hadn't overstepped the limit. She smiled at him kissing him on the chin.

"I love you Brian, you know that don't you?"

"Yeah, I know, I feel it so strongly between us. I love you too," he said as a knock came at the door. It couldn't be the food and drinks yet, surely. He grabbed his shorts and pulled them up. Sue covered herself with the sheet and Brian waited for her okay before opening the door. It could have been any one of the guys, but he sure hoped not. They knew how much he wanted to spend time with Sue he doubted they would interrupt.

He opened the door to find all Sue's luggage on a hotel trolley. He had the bellhop deposit the bags all in the entryway, tipped him then closed the door before dragging them in the room. Sue pulled the sheets around her tightly and was about to get out of the bed to help him. Brian pointed at her. "You stay where you are," he demanded.

"Brian," she laughed, "At least let me find a top. I know exactly where it is. I'll feel a bit more comfortable eating pizza with something on."

"Well, okay," he conceded. "But I could have given you something of mine." Sue pulled the sheet out and made sure it was tightly around her. "You know you don't need that sheet Baby," he said standing close behind her, his hand reaching out to lay on one hip. His words made Sue blush. She felt the heat creep up her neck slowly and just knew her face was red. She didn't know how to answer him.

Brian pulled her into his arms and lowered his lips for a kiss. His lips were warm on hers pressing on to hers sensually. She opened her lips, inviting him to slide his tongue in to hers, her body reacting when he did. Her arms came up around his neck, forgetting that they were holding on to the edge of the sheet she had pulled around her. It wasn't until Brian's fingers began softly stroking her breast that she realised the sheet had fallen from her body. She pressed herself into his hand wanting more from him, feeling delirious with need.

A knock at the door brought them both back to earth abruptly. This time it had to be the pizza and Sue quickly moved out of Brian's arms and to her bag, getting an oversized T-Shirt out. He looked annoyed at being interrupted so she threw him a lazy smile. "Go get the door. I'm hungry," she said to him trying to lighten the mood again. He checked to see she was covered and also out of view from the door and opened the door.

Sure enough it was the pizza, some drinks and some choc chip ice cream that Brian put straight in the freezer. "How did you know that was my favourite ice cream flavour?" Sue asked him.

He chuckled to himself. "I didn't. It's my favourite. I thought I would get some for the freezer if I wanted a snack." He winked at her. "It'll be more fun to share though."

Sue smiled as she climbed on the bed sitting herself cross legged in the middle. "Well, come on, let's share the pizza now I am starving and the smell is making it even hungrier." She patted the bed beside her encouraging him to sit on the bed with her. She laughed at his sceptical look. She wiggled her finger at him to again get him to join her. He smiled almost seductively and climbed onto the bed beside her, plopping the pizza down between them.

Sue opened the box up and took a piece of pizza out. "You are hungry!" he said to her. She merely took a bite of the pizza and let out a satisfied sound, chewing the pizza hungrily. She didn't answer him, just took another bite. Brian laughed and picked up a piece of his own, taking a huge bite. He suddenly realised he was feeling really hungry too. And more than just feeling hungry for Sue sitting in front of him as she was.

For a while they ate and talked about the next few days, what they would be doing, and where they would be going. It was a gruelling life being on the road like they were. She was amazed that they had been able to do this for as long as they had. But Brian assured her they all loved it. He was making her laugh at some of the incredible tour stories. An easy companionship was building as they ate, drank and talked.

Sue took another bite and smiled at Brian. "What?" he asked, puzzled at the look of pure contentment on her face.

"Oh nothing. Just…"

"Just what?" he asked watching her, unable to stop the smile spreading across his face too.

She shrugged. "Just us."

"Us?" She was talking in riddles as far as he was concerned, not letting on what was going on in that pretty head of hers. He looked at her as if to urge her on. "Us? Come one Sue, spit it out."

"Us. Look at us. How relaxed we are together now. I know I said it before, but," she smiled again. "It's nice to feel so comfortable. I like it."

"Yeah," the smile on his face lit up his face. "I like it too. I don't ever want to lose what we have here Sue."

Sue knew what Brian was saying. She wanted it too, but for some reason something was holding her back on verbalising it. He wanted a commitment. Heck, she wanted it too, but something still scared her. It made a mockery of what she had just told him about the two of them being so relaxed together. She had meant it was more the way they shared everything, how comfortable they felt together after all the nerves and hesitation earlier in their relationship. She could tell Brian was waiting for an answer. She wanted to give him what he wanted. "I don't either Brian," she finally answered, not really admitting anything. A full commitment from her was still something she couldn't guarantee, as much as she knew she loved him.

He reached over to her and wiped a piece of cheese off her cheek, putting his finger to her lips. His eyes darkened in colour as she opened her mouth and sucked his finger in. Absently he moved the pizza box from between them, dropping it to the floor. He moved closer to her, in an agonisingly slow rate, and Sue could feel her breathing becoming shallow, still sucking on his finger. She wished it was his tongue and was granted her wish when he finally got close enough, pulling his finger out of her mouth slowly, placing his lips on hers and plunging his tongue in to meet hers hungrily. Now that other hunger he was feeling was resurfacing.

That night they satisfied each other's hunger in a beautiful display of the love they shared between them. It hadn't been that long since they were together in Brian's home, but it felt like forever. As they slept, Brian's arms were securely around Sue's body needing to feel her close, never wanting to let her go.

******

Sue woke with the sun shining on her face peeping through the curtains. She opened her eyes and looked around smiling when she remembered where she was. Brian's arms were still around her and she snuggled in closer, if that was possible. Her whole body glowed with the love she felt for the man holding her so close. She never thought it was possible to be so in love with someone as she was now, especially after such a relatively brief relationship. The way she was feeling right now, Brian was her everything.

She felt him move slightly and she turned in his arms. His eyes were open and the smile that spread across his face made her heart leap in her chest. There was that feeling of love again, bouncing through her simply because he smiled at her.

"Good morning," he said to her dropping a kiss on her nose.

Sue sighed. She felt so contented lying there. She didn't want any reality intruding on what they had right now. "Good morning Brian."

"Did you sleep well?" he asked, a cheeky look crossing his face.

"Well, when I slept, yeah." She laughed.

"Wasn't much was it?"

"No, there wasn't. Can we sleep a little longer now? Or just cuddle a while longer?"

Brian lifted his arm to look at his watch, groaning when he saw what time it was. "Not this morning Baby. I have a meeting to get to, then we are all going to a basketball game."

"All?" Sue asked. Surely he didn't mean her. She wasn't entirely sure how she would cope being in public with him yet. She knew all about the way some fans reacted seeing a Backstreet Boy with a girlfriend. Kevin had told her all about that when he met Jac.

"Yeah, all of us. You will come too won't you?"

"I dunno Brian. It's a scary thought."

"Scary to be with me?" He teased, pouting as he did.

"Not you. Just…" She didn't know what to say without making it sound like it was him she didn't want to be seen with. She was floundering. She sat up in the bed beside Brian, drawing her knees up to herself.

He chuckled. "It's okay Sue. I know what you mean." He pulled her close so she was laying beside him again. "I'll be there with you. You'll be okay. We'll have Will there looking after you."

All thought of going to a basketball game as Brian's girlfriend left her mind at the mention of Will. "Brian, I am going to miss Will. Is he going to be at the game? We don't need him here now do we? I'll be sad to see him go."

Brian knew they still needed Will because the issue with Spencer Newman was not yet over. He wanted to keep Will around to keep an eye on Sue, but he also didn't want to scare Sue. She didn't know this guy was trouble even here. Anywhere they were. "He'll be here." At her horrified look, mixed with delight that Will wasn't leaving, he had to explain. "Security decided an extra bodyguard travelling with us would be a good idea. It would take the strain off the others for a while, give them a break now and then. And help you too, when you want to go somewhere. Ask Jac, the fans can be very demanding at times, all wanting pictures and things. A bodyguard with you is a good idea."

She thought about what Brian said. He could see she was weighing up what he had told her carefully. Finally she nodded. "Yeah, I can understand that. And I am glad he is staying. He is really nice Brian, and so easy to talk to."

Brian began tickling her. "Should I be jealous," he asked still tickling her mercilessly.

"Arrggghhh! Brian, stop!"

"Tell me then."

"Of course you don't. Now stop tickling, I hate being tickled," she shrieked. Brian stopped as soon as he started.

"Good. Because you are mine!" He growled like a lion, pulling her down on top of him as he did so. Sue was laughing so hard they nearly missed the knock at the door. "Now who could that be? Breakfast maybe."

"I didn't order breakfast." Sue said to him.

"I did, last night. I hope you like what I picked."

It was indeed breakfast, and together they sat up in the bed eating. They could have gone to the table, but both of them loved the intimacy of eating on the bed. Brian had picked some of Sue's favourite breakfast foods and they had fun feeding each other. After eating, Brian kissed her quickly as she reclined back drinking her coffee before dashing into the shower to get ready for his interview. He told her he would be back to pick her up before the basketball game. If he couldn't make it he would make sure Will got her there on time.
