Im a 34 year old male living in northern California. I'm 6'3, 225lbs, long black hair, and blue/green eyes. I have 2 younger brothers, and a 2yr old nephew. I was born here, but have moved around northern California quite a bit. When I was young I lived in Washington, as well as Utah, although I only remember bits and pieces of them.

During my mothers pregnancy, she had severe toxemia and almost lost me. And almost lost me again as well as her during a difficult birth. My first year I had many bouts with pneumonia, and at age 4, was hospitalized for 2 weeks with a unknown viral infection. Not a great start. :) But I pulled out of it and had a relatively uneventful childhood.

I graduated high school at 17, and went right into college. After getting my AA degree in computer science, I switched colleges and decided on plans to get a masters degree. After the first quarter disaster struck. I had a routine tooth extraction done early morning of July 87. That evening I was in the emergency room. Like when I was 4, they said I had an unknown viral infection most likely caused by the sinuses being infected by my tooth.I have never been the same since. I was officially diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome in 95 by Dr. Erich Ryll who has been studying the disease since early 75.

The general opinion is I have always had cfids, but the tooth extraction was enough to bring about a stronger relapse, or acute onset of the disease. My first 3 years I spent housebound. Then I gradually, slowly began to improve. I started working for an understanding boss that allowed me to come in late, take many breaks, and call in sick when I had to. Over the next 4-5 years I gradually improved. I still had all the classic symptoms of cfids, but they were to a lesser extent, and my stamina was greatly improved.

However, I was far from normal. I was unable to do anything physical, dizzy most of the time, and was always tired. Luckily I was still able to have a life. I worked, dated, hung out with friends, and was having a great time. Then I relapsed again. Curiously enough, it was from another tooth extraction. During my partial remission, I had another tooth pulled before this one, so I had no big worries about it. But a repeat of history happened, and I went thru the same big health crash I went thru in 87. The tooth that was pulled may have had a sinus connection
which may have again been the culprit.
