THE EGOMANIACS!
The EGOMANIACS were formed when I saw an extremely boring, long-winded band play forever while I was waiting to see the band after them! I decided that L.A. needed a Ramones-styled band that wrote 1-2 minute songs and played for no more than 20 minutes! Art Jackson (Street Walkin' Cheetahs - www.thestreetwalkincheetahs.com ), being a huge Ramones fan said he wanted to join, we talked Tracy Colby (ex-Big Wow, Maryjanes, Dicktit) into playing bass and Todd Westover appeared as our drummer! We gigged all over LA and always kept our promise of no more than 20 minute sets and our songs were usually LESS than 2 minutes! In fact we once played 10 songs in a 10 minute set! We recorded a number of songs that have yet to see the light, but we are on a 1+2 Records ( www.barnhomes.com ) compilation called BEAT PARTY!
