All probably born at Theddlethorpe, Lincolnshire, England. Theddlethorpe is on the east coast, north of Mablethorpe, east of Louth. William married Sarah Bartholomew in 1851. Harriet married Thomas Barr in 1846 and had 13 children. Ann married a Mr Young. Rebecca died in 1847 aged 18. John
married Susan PHILLIPS in 1858 at Theddlethorpe
All Saints, Lincolnshire. They immigrated to New Zealand on the
ship
"Whirlwind" in 1859. There were 8 known children.
Maria
died in 1837 aged 4. Daniel
later married Elizabeth CHERRY in about 1882 at Halifax,
Yorkshire. They had a daughter, Kate Annie "Kit", born in
1883. Elizabeth married Horby PHILLIPS (brother of Susan (above)) about 1860. It is believed they had 16 children, nine of whom died young. Horby and his children emigrated to Auckland, New Zealand in the ship "Rangitiki". Frances was only 7 when she died in 1847. Emma married Henry Oliver and had 2 children. She died in 1935 aged 88. Joseph was the only child of Daniel and Alice to immigrate to New Zealand. He came out on the ship "Rangitiki" with his Uncle Horby PHILLIPS and his children in 1883. Joseph married Amelia TOZER in October 1887 at Mahurangi Heads Church, Mahurangi, north of Auckland. Amelia was the fourth daughter of James TOZER and Elizabeth Sarah HEATH of Te Kapa, Mahurangi. Joseph (known as Will) and Amelia had six children: Claude William born 1888; Daniel Victor, born 1891; Adela Mary Hazel born 1892; Myrtle Emily May, born 1895; Edna Amelia Holly, born 1897 and Zinnia Melva Edith, born 1902. James was
said to have immigrated to the USA in about the 1890's. Nothing
more
was ever heard of or from him again. It appears all enquiries the
family made drew a blank. February
