 The University of the Punjab is located in the
Historically and culturally active city of Lahore. At present various
on-campus teaching and research program of the University are organized
under some fifty institutes, departments, constitutes colleges & centre,
which run over 100 degree, diploma or certificate programs. Research
leading to PhD degree is an integral part of the academic programs in
many disciplines. New academic programs have been introduced recently
according to the current requirement. This has gradually expanded the
academic activity of the University.
The
University continues to retain its original teaching as well as
examining functions. In addition to the on campus teaching and research
activity, the University overseas and regulates the academic activities
of over 328 affiliated colleges and institutes, imparting
undergraduates, postgraduates and professional education.
The University of the Punjab has played a
leading role in higher education in the country. The University strives
to provide a conductive environment for the pursuit of academic
activities. On account of its quality degree programs pleasant
environment and low tuition fees, the University remains the institution
