Set on a hillside, overlooking the beach, this may well be ideal family accommodation

Portinatx is peaceful and quiet but it is miles away from the Ibiza nightlife

Getting ready for our first night out - the taxi to San Antonio is going to cost over £20

At last, some life! This is some of the 150 pubs in San Antonio's West End (or would be if the flash had worked)

This is Joe Spoon's Irish Bar in the heart of the West End - My first pint in San Antonio. The price of beer here is about the same as in the UK - although you can usually get a free shot with each pint

After a few more drinks we head around to the Bay for our first visit to Eden. We managed to get a flyer guarnteeing free entry!

And a few hours of dancing later we head across the road to Es Paradis for their Water Party. Here is Ewan up to his waist in water

Es Paradis again, an interesting shot of the back of someones head, with me in the background

7am: The Official Water Party Photograph and almost time to head for home

It's cold and dark outside and taxi drivers do not seem to like wet people so we head to a cafe for a few warming cups of coffee

It's now 8am and we head along the prom to warm up and wait for the sunrise which should happen at about 8:30 am

Strange storm clouds just before the sunrise in San Antonio

Out to sea there is an excellent storm with great flashes of lightning which are totally missing in this photograph!

The sun finally rises I finally start to dry off and begin to feel warm again - we head back to Portanatx for some much needed sleep
