Ice Hellion Clan Emblem      ICE  HELLION  CLAN  HALL

SAKHAN  JONATHAN  WICK
Comm Channel: E-mail
Assignment: Beta Galaxy Commanding Officer, 200th Attack Cluster (The Lithe Kill Keshik) Commanding Officer
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Date of Birth: February 7, 2994
Date of Blooding: March 5, 3017
Date of Position: May 17, 3024
Warrior Type: Mechwarrior
Preferred 'Mechs: Stormcrow, Shadow Cat, Viper, Adder
Philosophy: Crusader
History: Trueborn early in one of the last years of the previous millenium, Jonathan was an unremarkable infant, the spawn of Mechwarriors Constance Wick and Jason Hordwon. The child Jonathan was late to learn to walk and many of the eugenic scientists believed he would not pass the stringent physical tests to become a warrior. As he matured though, the young whelp displayed both strength and intelligence beyond his sibkin. With vision rivaling that of Aerospace pilots and senses as sharp as any hellion's claw, Jonathan was soon regarded as the premier specimen of the sibko. His mind, hand-eye coordination, and boxing abilities were further honed during his first decade in preparation for acceptance to Hector Military Academy.
Having been selected as first among his peers, Jonathan showed natural leadership abilities during mechwarrior training. As others of his sibkin dropped out to lower castes, Jonathan continued to excel in training, becoming efficient in holovid trainers. When the time came for actual 'mech training, Jonathan did not disappoint. As per Clan Ice Hellion philosophy, Jonathan received training in light and medium class 'mech combat, with a variety of tactics applied to tackle any sized opponent.
Shortly following his eighteenth birthday, Jonathan had his Trial of Position. Assigned to a Mist Lynx, Jonathan was able to defeat two of his opponents in Trial, gaining himself the rank of Star Commander. Placed in charge of Gamma Star in the 17th Lancer Trinary of Delta Galaxy, Star Commander Jonathan was thrust into battle against Clan Diamond Shark. Following two years of battle against the Sharks on Tathis, including several engagements where he bested 'mechs such as Mad Dogs and Hellbringers with his much smaller Adder, Jonathan was recalled to Hector for a Trail of Position, in which he won the rank of Star Captain. Offered a place in a subsequent Trial of Bloodright, Jonathan refused to compete for the heritage of Sandra Wick, a lineage which had lost much of its former honor in recent generations.
Granted command of the 123rd Lancer Trinary of Beta Galaxy, Jonathan was transferred to Foster, to defend Hellion holdings against recent Fire Mandrill aggression. Though seeing little action there, his short stints of combat were honorable, as he downed several larger Mandrill 'mechs by combining superior maneuverability and long-range sniping tactics in his Viper.
In 3017, Khan Ernest Wick was killed at the hands of Fire Mandrill raiders. Though a tragic blow to the Clan, the opprotunity to compete for Khan Wick's heritage, one with great honor, presented itself to the now 23 year old Jonathan. His patience and decision to turn down his earlier chance for Blooding had paid off. As a ristar, Jonathan had no difficulty finding a sponser, and won the Trail of Bloodright just as easily, earning his surname.
By the turn of the decade, Jonathan Wick had been promoted to Star Colonel and granted command over the 121st Lancers, streamlinging the unit into a fast raiding unit. The 121st excelled at disrupting an enemies flanks, much to the dismay of Clans Fire Mandrill and Burrock.
Continuing his excellence in battle and leadership into 3022, Wick became much admired by saKhan Blackmon Rood. Rood appreciated the younger Wick's combat tenacity and expected much of him as his subordinate in Beta Galaxy. When Khan Tyler was killed in Trial, saKhan Rood became the senior Khan and per custom, relinquished command of Beta Galaxy in favor of Alpha. Khan Rood transferred Star Colonel Wick to Alpha Galaxy, giving him command of the 150th Hellion Lancers, and appointed Wick as his personal aide in Alpha Galaxy. However, Khan Rood's reign was short-lived: then-current Loremaster Tracy Cage killed Rood in Trial and was appointed Khan herself.
When Khan Cage died from Babylon Plague in early May, 3024, saKhan James Lienet was unanimously elected as Khan. One of Lienet's most ardent supporters, Star Colonel Wick was rewarded with Lienet's nomination that he become saKhan. Though not a unanimous vote, Wick was nonetheless elected by a comfortable margin.
saKhan Wick currently leads the 200th Attack Cluster from the seat of his personal Stormcrow, Discord.

INTER-CLAN  RELATIONS

Blood Spirit Clan Emblem CLAN  BLOOD  SPIRIT

QUESTIONABLE: I fear all hope of maintaining any kind of relations with Clan Blood Spirit may be disappearing. They have returned to their usual, uncommunicative selves.

Burrock Clan Emblem CLAN  BURROCK

FAVORABLE: Clan Burrock seems to be changing for the better. Gone are the high praises for their own work, and present is a willingness to mend old wounds and improve relations with former enemies. Khan Polcyk is a true Warrior and his wisdom rubs off on to his subordinates.

Cloud Cobra Clan Emblem CLAN  CLOUD  COBRA

FAVORABLE: Their Way, however strange to us it is, appears to have seen them though the worst, and now, with new leadership, the Cobras are again a force to be reckoned with. I respect their aerial supriority in combat and feel an alliance with the Cobras would be advantageous.

Coyote Clan Emblem CLAN  COYOTE

FAVORABLE: Though Clan Coyote is staunchly Warden, I have no reason to dislike them at this time. They are our neighbors on Babylon and Foster and we both seek to focus our efforts on more highly contested worlds.

Diamond Shark Clan Emblem CLAN  DIAMOND  SHARK

FAVORABLE: I believe the Hellions and Sharks have much in common and am willing to put aside former hostilities for closer relations with their Clan. Their recent support of our proposals in the Hall of Khans proves their willingness to do the same. Though they appear as Merchants first, Warriors second, Clan Diamond Shark should not be underestimated.

Fire Mandrill Clan Emblem CLAN  FIRE  MANDRILL

FAVORABLE: Khan Faraday has finally given stable, responsible leadership to this troubled, segmented Clan. Though the bad blood between our two Clans can not be forgotten by many of our Warriors, our Clans as a whole have begun to respect each other.

Ghost Bear Clan Emblem CLAN  GHOST  BEAR

FAVORABLE: Finally the Bears have woken from their hibernation and are again adventuring outside their dens. We are eager to ensure the Hellions and the Ghost Bears become and remain friends. Those that can weather the blizzard shall surely emerge stronger.

Goliath Scorpion Clan Emblem CLAN  GOLIATH  SCORPION

FAVORABLE: Goliath Scorpion Khan Ezekiel Suvorov is very open to favorable relations between our Clans. Thanks in part to the mutual understanding Suvorov and myself initiated two years ago, our two Clans have become increasingly closer. I now consider the Goliath Scorpions one of our most trusted allies.

Hell's Horses Clan Emblem CLAN  HELL'S  HORSES

POSSIBLE: Now that the disgraceful Azhrei Ward has been ousted, the Horses are once again proving they are not as weak as they appear. Negotiations to correct our mutual misunderstandings of the previous regime have already begun.

Jade Falcon Clan Emblem CLAN  JADE  FALCON

POSSIBLE: As both our Clans are strong supporters of the Crusader cause, I can picture the Falcons as our allies. It is often difficult to know who the Falcon's allies are, but none question who are its enemies.

Nova Cat Clan Emblem CLAN  NOVA  CAT

FAVORABLE: Clan Nova Cat is rather quiet, but has agreed to respect our claims on two shared worlds if we do the same.

Smoke Jaguar Clan Emblem CLAN  SMOKE  JAGUAR

FAVORABLE: The Jaguar's are our battle philosophy opposite. Where we prefer small and steady, using speed and manueverability to win our battles, Clan Smoke Jaguar's Warriors prefer large and awkward, using overwhelming firepower to devestate their opponents. Regardless of our mutual dislike for each other's tactics, our goals remain the same: the impending return to the Inner Sphere and restoration of the Star League. I have, at times, been a vocal opponent of Loremaster of the Clans Marcus Furey, a representative of the Smoke Jaguar Clan. My words brought a Trial of Grievance against me by one of the Jaguar's high ranking Warriors; and though I quickly dispatched of him and vindicated myself, our Clans remain as close as ever. I can not hold a grudge against such a powerful ally, even when our disagreements result in battle.

Snow Raven Clan Emblem CLAN  SNOW  RAVEN

NEUTRAL: Because the Ravens have always fielded the largest naval force, no Clan desires to anger them. They are more important than they initially seem, as other Clans will jockey for Snow Raven support. I will not hide the fact that I too wish them to be our allies.

Star Adder Clan Emblem CLAN  STAR  ADDER

QUESTIONABLE: Though I have had the littlest contact with this Clan of all, I have reason to believe they will count us among their enemies. I will keep an eye on the Star Adders and monitor their activity for signs of aggression against us.

Steel Viper Clan Emblem CLAN  STEEL  VIPER

NEUTRAL: The Steel Vipers are changing Khans much too often lately. I have no idea where we stand with them now.

Wolf Clan Emblem CLAN  WOLF

POSSIBLE: The Wolves seem open to friendship, but the road between is long and fraught with many hurdles to overcome. Unfortuneatly, many of their finest Warriors have become increasingly militant of late. The possibility for unrest is great.
