Our Story

This season has been a real success story for our team. Our performances were less than brilliant during the season - our impromptu soloist was wonderful but didn't get us extra marks from the judges. It has given us lots of laughs tho!! But as fate would have it, 3 teams can't go to Regina! We are asked if we want to go.
Oh my God!!!! We're going to Regina!!!!!

The next month is incredibly hectic - extra practices, selling Mr. Big chocolate bars, raffles, asking for corporate sponsors & a Regal blitz - anything to raise money. And we have to do something about those dresses! Now to fix the number - or more precisely, redo the number. That's a lot of changes Lea Anne - are you sure? But we're bound & determined that we will show everyone that we DO deserve to go to Canadians!!

As we drive to the airport we realize that we have just accomplished an amazing feat. We are on our way!

Our first skate goes extremely well & we are ecstatic when the results come out & we are in 4th place!!!

Oh my God!!!!

Is there a possibility of squeaking into 3rd place??? The excitement is tremendous and our second skate goes perfectly!! As we are finishing the number you can see the joy in everyone's faces. And the judges' marks support what we all feel. We had finally skated the way we always knew we could!! We come off the ice & laugh, cry & hug each other. This is the highlight of the trip & the season!

However, our competitors also skate extremely well - and it is only a breath that puts us out of 4th & into 5th place.
We didn't come home with a medal but we did come home knowing that we went there 10th in Ontario & came home 5th in Canada. This is something that we are very proud of!
