At the age of 19, Ice Rock decided to get into the sport that he loved...Wrestling.  He made a quick phone call to Shawn Michaels and got a few months training at the TWA (Texas Wrestling Association).   He spent 2 months there before Shawn Michaels had no choice but to terminate his training after comming to 3 shows in one week intoxicated and unable to wrestle.   From there he went to the MWA and signed a devolopment deal with them.  Jeff Hardy was their periodically and spent alot of time with Ice Rock.   He learned Ice Rock how to become a master of the Sen Ton Bomb.  Ice Rock left the MWA in January of 2000 and signed a deal with Terry Funk's "FUNK University" or better known as "Funk U".  Back in Texas, Ice Rock learned the Hardcore ways of wrestling from Terry Funk.  He spent countless hours watching Video Libraries of Terry Funk, The Undertaker's Hell In A Cell Match, Mick Foley's Cactus Jack matches and alot of the ECW main eventers. During the time with Terry Funk, Terry knew what kind of wrestling that Ice was trying to persue and actually tried to scare him away from that direction.  In one match, Ice put his opponent in a trash can and did a moonsault onto his opponent off the top of a steel cage.   When it didn't phase Ice and later Terry found out that Ice actually enjoyed the match, it lit a spark into Terry's eyes and tried to get Ice a spot in the top of the wrestling game.  After Graduating, Ice Rock got a phone call from KCW, the place where his life would change forever.

In November of 2000, after just turning 20 Ice Rock signed a contract with the KCW(Kissimee Championship Wrestling)!  A major federation in Southern United States.  Once he signed a Iron Plad contract that stated that in no way shape of form could his contract be terminated, he was unstoppable.    He went on a riot destroying KCW broadcasters, ring announcers and attacking other wrestlers.  Once long time friend, Renegade entered the KCW, they domenated the tag team division and captured the Championship.  With a short Stint in the Nut House and then Shipped to Alkatraz so he could no longer hurt the other patients, he trained hard to get into better shape than he began and came back joining "Cry Wolf" and destroying the most dominent stable in he KCW; "The Dark Side".  After all but one of the members of the Dark Side had left the KCW He focused on more important things.  2 weeks before Cry Wolf destroyed the KCW , Ice Rock captured the KCW Heavyweight Championship from the man that no one thought would be beaten - Z man.   One week before the KCW shut down, Ice Rock lost the heavyweight championship to Skarz; Another member of Cry Wolf.  In March of 2001, KCW was shut down and would make a breef apearence in the XFL(Xtreme Federation Leaders).  In the XFL, Ice Rock was assigned XFL CEO until his departure in June of 2001 because of a messy divorce from Rachel Wilson.  When Ice Rock returned to active Competition and moving to Detroit, Michigan USA in September 2001, he went to the AWO(Attitude Wrestling Organization).  A major North American federation that was running for 5 years at the time.  After a major disagreement with the staff in the AWO, Ice Rock left the AWO and signed with the SMW(Smash Mouth Wrestling).   There, Ice Rock led numerous invasions into the AWO and majorly weakened the foundation and spirit of the AWO until the AWO folded in early 2002.  In the SMW, Ice Rock won numerous championships in the federation until the SMW folded in mid 2002.   From there Ice Rock signed on with the DWA for a short stint but the DWA has closed it's doors because of lack of wrestlers and ticket sales.
