Artist Profiles

Mark Vander Zanden

Hello there. I guess I am best known as the one who has unleashed the freaks upon the COTG Universe to begin with. Though the ICOF was not my first taste of "bootlegging", it is probably been the most famous. Prior to the ICOF, I had released such characters as Mother, Tusk, Sgt. Jarhead, Bloodsport, Cyber Fang, Iwo Kajimi and Stone Mountain. Though a few of these characters are receiving new life in the ICOF, they were the forebearers that got me hooked. My only goal is to continue to bring fun and interesting characters for all the loyal promoters out there to make use of as they will. Hopefully, this is something that will continue for a long time to come.

Carrie Vander Zanden

Carrie began doing character art after visiting Galacticon for the first time in 2001. It wasn't until after Mark Taggart had departed, however, before she dabbled in drawing wrestlers. She was able to step into Mark's shoes and did a very admirable job. She is still the primary artist for KG Productions and gets very steady results. She is still working on her technique to improve her style, and with each passing set the results are showing. She has also done a few jobs for a couple of other promoters as well. If you want to contact Carrie with comments or commission work, you can reach her at patokanomore@yahoo.com.

Besides being one of the main artists for the ICOF, Carrie also has been drawing a number of the local indy superstars in wrestling, many of which are more than happy with the results. Below are links to some of the artwork that Carrie has done, autographed personally by each of the superstars!

Ace Steel | Chris Hero | C.M. Punk | Colt Cobana | Eric Priest | Sam Hayne |

Mark Taggart

Simply put, if it were not for the artistic talent of Mark Taggart, there would not have been an ICOF. Therefore all these characters and this entire website for that matter would not exist. It was talks with Mark T that inspired the entire ICOF mentality. It was Mark who graciously and without my knowledge laid the foundation down for the original ICOF website. It was Mark's incredible artwork that kept me putting out one set after another. I owe a lot to Mark and his talents. And I am not the only one as there are literally hundreds of cards floating about the bootleg scene with his artwork on them. Mark was one of the busiest artists in the bootleg scene, and continued to do so until his untimely departure from the online ranks. I wish him the best of luck in all his future indeavors.

Werner Mueck

Werner is quite possibly the best new artist that his hit the scene in a long time. Already an ICOF veteran, several other promoters have also utilized his talents to bring their characters to life. Werner has quickly become a cornerstone in the ongoing legend of the ICOF. He is very easy to work with and his quality is very top notch (as you can see from his various works and the picture to the left. He has also been featured on the front page of the illustrious Elfwood Gallery! Please see his website on my links page for more of his work. If you want to hire him for commission work, please email him at quibly@hotmail.com.

Brandon Strevel

Though he has not done many drawings for ICOF, Brandon brings a style all his own. His unique artistic style really captures the hardcore elements of the game. You can see a sample of his work to the left. Brandon has done a number of bootlegs in the past, with some of his best work being for Chriss Hoover's FECW sets. I look forward to the possibility of adding more of his style to the legions of the ICOF in the future.
