About

So, you wanna know why this place exists, do you? Well, first of all, you should know that my girlfriend and I are hardcore slash fans, so when we got really into X-Men: Evolution, it was only natural for us to point out the boys and girls who were so obviously fucking each other seemed to go well with one another. As most slashers (and people who like romance between fictional characters in general) know, however, there's always that one pairing your attention is drawn to, that one pairing that makes you grin like a psychotic monkey on crack every time you think about it.

For us, that one, true pairing was Todd/Kurt.

We don't know why. Maybe it's because the pairing works well. Maybe it's because of  mutual insanity. Maybe it's because I'm a rabid Todd fan and Tif is a rabid Kurt fan and together, we were scary, rabid fangirls foaming at the mouth to find a good pairing for our favorite characters. Whatever the reason, our primary objective in the Evo fandom quickly turned to finding any and all Todd/Kurt fics on the entirety of the World Wide Web to nourish our ever-growing craving for two inhumanly flexible boys with prehensile appendages getting it on.

We found about four.

Cursing our luck at so often enjoying the most obscure pairings, Tif and I decided to write our own Todd/Kurt fics. When we saw the positive responses, it was obvious that there were more fans of the pairing than one would think considering the lack of fanworks. So, in an extraordinarily desperate attempt to pull other Todd/Kurt fans out of the woodworks, we created the ToddKurtSlash LiveJournal community in early September 2003 with the hope of generating more content for the pairing.

In all honesty, I didn't think anything was ever going to happen with the community. I could think of maybe five people who would join, perhaps one or two of those five who would post. Those five people would then quickly become bored and the comm would fade out of existence in a matter of weeks because I am the eternal pessimist and those are the things I come to expect. But as of now, it's been over two months, there are 45 members (all of whom are awesome) and over 20 fics to be read. I can't even begin to express my thanks to everyone for making the community such a success--it makes me feel all warm and gooey, like melted chocolate.

This site was created to archive the works that are posted to the community for organization and easy navigation so impatient people like myself don't have to sift through hoards of messages or haphazard attempts at arranging everything into the memories section of the comm just to find fanfiction and fanart. Here's hoping it all works out, ne?
