How as a Species we Got to
Where we Find Ourselves Today


Lecture Presentation


The historical roots and development of how today we understand and manage existence and development. The problems and difficulties we face, we create, and we have to deal with. The path and direction, through the ages, human beings have taken in their conceptual and mental self-development. The understanding, mental powers and abilities, mental skills and practices they developed, how they developed and used them. Limits and shortcomings, problematic results and consequences. Where to go from here. The direction we need to take in conceptual and mental development, individually and as a species. The understanding, mental powers and abilities, mental skills and practices we need to develop, to deal with persisting and growing human individual, social and environmental problems and difficulties we face around the world today.

The natural conditions of existence and development, particularly human mental existence and mental development. The conditions of mental existence at the dawn of human consciousness, and early human responses. Fundamental human assumptions, approaches and practices of understanding and managing existence and development, arising from early human responses. Development through the ages of human fundamental assumptions, approaches and practices. Limits and shortcomings, results and consequences of fundamental human assumptions, approaches and practices. How today we understand and manage existence and development, problematic human individual, social and environmental results and consequences. The direction of the answers and solutions, the direction we need to take in conceptual and mental development, individually and as a species.
