| About Huron High School Chess Club |
Huron High School Chess Club has been hosted by Mr.Long during the activity periods for several years. In December of 2000, Ying Han Yang recruited several Chess Players in order to form Huron Chess Team. The Chess Team played in the states and performed really well. It again went to the States in the year of 2002 and didn't perform up to the member's expectations. In the early Feb of 2002, Ying Han Yang and Santosh Konda consulted with Mr.Long with hopes of officially launching Huron's Chess Club. The Club's first posters were put up weeks after the meeting. On Feb 20 2002 Huron High School Chess Club had its first official meeting.
Huron High School Chess Club does many exciting things these days. The Club meets weekly on Wednesdays in room 6206 (Mr.Long's Room) during 7th and 8th(3:15 to 4:30EST). At the club, you can:
