An interactive word game. The object is to fill in the blanks by dragging the correct alphabets from a given set, and placing them at the blank positions. Correct selections are rewarded with displays, animation and sounds, designed to create a magical night sky.

Simply download, and extract tamtut2.a4r and run it using runa4w16.exe (Windows 3.1 users)or runa4w32.exe (Windows 95,98 and NT users).

Another interactive word game similar to the above one. Once again the object is to fill in the blanks by dragging the correct alphabets from a given set, and placing them at the blank positions. Correct selections are rewarded with displays, and if nearly all selections are correct, the ultimate reward is a Tamil song for children Kaththari Veruli by Navaliyoor Somasundarappulavar.

Simply download, and extract veruli.a4r and other data files with extension .txt. Save all files in a directory APW (if you don't have this, please create it) which should reside in the root directory of the C drive. Then run veruli.a4r using runa4w16.exe (Windows 3.1 users)or runa4w32.exe (Windows 95,98 and NT users).

Download Zipped archive containing an interactive Tamil word game DUNK THE CLOWN.

An interactive word game similar to hang-man. The object is the same as in hang-man, that is, to guess the alphabets in a secret word. However, the consequences of failing to complete the word within a set number of trials are not drastic. A clown (representing the player) will be dunked!

To use this, download and unzip the archive and save all files in a directory named c:\apw. Run runa3w.exe (check further down this page if you already haven't got this), and select dictm.app when you see the dialogue box. If you select anjal/Inai Mathi fonts option, the dictionary viewer will allow you to see the results in two modes: Just the translation for the selected word, and a scrolling list of following entries in the database.
The version revised on 20 May, permits you to develop the database easily, through simple interactions. At present, data input through interaction is possible using Mylai only. Please contact the author if you wish to take part in developing the database. If the Quit button is not visible on your screen, press CTRL Q to exit from the dictionary.

Also download tam.txt (350 byts only)

and save it in a directory called APW in your c drive. If you don't have a directory by this name create it first. This text file can be used to try the reading function of this program. Save also the text files in dictexts.zip in c:\apw. Have fun.

Download this zipped archive and unzip to extract tamex01.app and engtam1.txt. Save the .txt file in C:\apw, run runa3w.exe and select tamex01.app.
