The Illinois Federation of College Democrats is officially affiliated with College Democrats of America, the student arm of the Democratic National Committee. It functions as an organized coalition of students from College Democrats chapters throughout the state of Illinois. The Illinois Federation of College Democrats is committed to the platform of the Democratic Party, including causes of social justice, civil rights and liberties, education, health care, and the environment.
The goal of the Illinois Federation of College Democrats is to expose and foster Democratic ideals on campuses throughout the state of Illinois, to increase political activism and voter participation among college students, and to work to help elect Democrats at every level of government.
