The Rising Force
Just before his 13th birthday, Obi-Wan Kenobi leaves Yoda and the other teachers at the Jedi Temple, but he isn't supposed to become a Padawan, a future Jedi Knight, he is assigned to be a farmer! This book starts with Obi-Wan a few weeks before he's 13th birthday, when he'll be too old to begin training as a Jedi Knight. Trying too hard to become Qui-Gon Jinn's Padawan, Obi-Wan shows his lack of discipline. That mistake in addition to Qui-Gon's mysterious past, keeps them apart, but the Force keeps pulling the two together. Obi-Wan after an intense inner strugle resigns himself to the fact that he will never be a Jedi Knight and makes the journey barren Bandomeer, to join the Jedi Agricultural Corps. Traveling there on a mining ship only to dicover that Qui-Gon is on a mission to the same planet. The two must work together to forge a truce between the warring Hutt, Whiphid, and Arconan miners on board. The inexperienced Obi-Wan stirs up trouble but gets plenty of chances to redeem himself later, after the pirates attack and after the ship crash-lands on a hostile planet with the crew still at each other's throats. This story never loses pace not once from beginning to end. I recommend it to any and all readers!!!

The Dark Rival
While thankful for Obi-Wan's lifesaving help on the trip to Bandomeer, Qui-Gon must put aside his mixed feelings over the young apprentice and take care of his peace mission. But he soon finds out that he's been tricked, not only did the planet's government not call for him, but the request may have come from his former apprentice gone to the dark side, the sinister Xanatos. Qui-Gon stays on Bandomeer to help rival mining companies there negotiate and to find out more about his fallen Padawan. Obi-Wan, of course, pitches in again, and the bond between the two grows. A few explosions, a couple of lightsaber fights, and a prison break later, the two ... well, you'll have to find out for yourself. Read the book it is an excellent extension of the story and I recommend it as much as I recommend the first.

The Hidden Past
After surviving the hair-raising events on Bandomeer Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are officially master and Padawan. The two have been sent off on their first mission by Master Yoda, who has given them a boring assignment, overseeing the elections on Gala, where Prince Beju has been forced to submit his promised throne to a popular vote. As usual for our Jedi heroes nothing goes quite as planned, on the way to Gala they get hijacked to Phindar, where the evil Syndicat rules by erasing the memories of its enemies. Faster than the flick of a lightsaber, master and apprentice find themselves back in hot water, struggling to help their Phindarian buddies overthrow the Syndicat crime lords. After a double-cross here and a blaster fight there, the two discover that even Prince Beju is involved in the Syndicat's nefarious schemes. Then the unthinkable happens, Obi-Wan is captured and sentance to have his memory wiped. Qui-Gon goes after him only to discover that Obi-Wan has aready been wiped and transfered off planet. What can a Padawan do without the memories that have made him a Jedi? Read this story and find out what happens.

Mark of the Crown
A Queen is dying. Her son is conspiring to thwart his planet's elections and maintain his rule. But he might not be her only heir. There may be another....bearing the elusive Mark of the Crown, the symbol of the true ruler. Qui-Gon Jinn and young Obi-Wan Kenobi came to the planet of Gala as the guardians of peace. Now they are facing a deadly battle for power and royal position. The heir must be found. The Jedi must find the way. This story is another great addition to the series that has certainly caught my attention.

Defenders of the Dead
When the Jedi are sent to rescue a captured and wounded comrade who is a held hostage on a planet in the middle of a bloody civil war nothing goes as planned. The heartrending conflict is overwhelming for young Obi-Wan, and he completely loses his objectivity, deciding he must help the "Young" in direct defiance of Qui-Gon's orders. Choosing to stay with his new friends, Cerasi and Nield, Obi-Wan turns his back on the Jedi and all he has ever known. This story is the biggest cliff hanger in the history of the world. When you get to the end you are so wrapped up in the story that you want to shoot someone for ending it almost prematuraly it seems. So read this book and the next one for the best experiance.

Uncertain Path
After almost getting into a fight with his former master and turning his back on the Jedi, Obi-Wan finds himself on the planet of Melida/Daan trying to create a new peace. When one of his close friends is killed he suddenly finds himself the on the recipiant end of suspition. He is no longer a jedi, and no longer a part of the fight on Melida/Daan. Suddenly Obi-Wan find himself questioning the consequence of what he now realizes were very rash actions. Was it really worth it? What can he do now that the very people he betrayed his master, Qui-Gon, to protect have turned against him? This book is a continuation of the last book and you just have to read it to find out what happens. I think this is one of the best books in the series due to Obi-Wan's questionings of himself!!

The Captive Temple
Back at the temple once again and still in a state of limbo about his future Obi-Wan seems to be attacked on all sides whether by the councils scolding or the other students hostility. Things seem terrible for Obi-Wan who has realized that Qui-Gon will never take him back even though he has learned his lesson. But, when someone tries to kill Yoda, it's up to Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn to work together once again and investigate. Everyone in the Jedi Temple is a suspect and the true culprit may be the darkest rival of all. This book is starting point for Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan reforming their relationship. It's just a wonderful book building upon Obi-Wan's intense anguish over the deaths of his friend and his rival!!

The Day of Reckoning
Put on probation Obi-Wan find himself following his former master on what appears to be a foolhardy mission. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, against the wishes of the Jedi Council, journey to the planet Telos in an attempt to track down Xanatos, Qui-Gon's evil former apprentice. But Xanatos is ready for them, and defeating him will be more difficult than anything the pair has faced before. Stuck on a world were they are the criminals and everyone is gunning for their blood they are forced to face some personal issues of their own. Obi-Wan is desperate to reestablish the bond with Qui-Gon, but it's not going to be easy. Qui-Gon plagued with problems of his own isn't sure that he should take Obi-Wan back. He feels that his doubts would inhibit the boy's growth in the force and keep them apart forever. This is a great book as all of the other books are obviously. I can only give this series rave review and this is one of the best to date.

The Fight for Truth
Most people on the Planet Kegan don't want to have anything to do with the rest of the galaxy. But when a young potential Jedi is discovered there Qui-Gon, Adi Gallia, and their apprentices, Obi-Wan and Siri, are forced to visit this isolated world. Not surprisingly they aren't welcomed with open arms. Instead Qui-Gon and Adi find themselves caught in a web of deception while Obi-Wan and Siri are imprisoned in a school where thought is dictated, dissent is forbidden, and detention is permanent. On this planet, the Jedi must fight for the truth even if no one wants to face it. Once more reunited this story is just another step on the road for Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. I liked this story just as much as I like the others and would recommend it to anyone.

The Shattered Peace
For generations, the firstborn children of the rulars of the planets Rutan and Senali have been exchanged at the age of seven. This was ment to promote peace and understanding between the societies. Now it has led them to the brink of war. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old heir to Rutan's throne, Leed, does not want to come home and resume his royal training. It's up to the Jedi to find him and convince his father not to declare war on Senali. Follow Jedi as they try to avert civil war between hunting-obsessed Rutan and its moon, the low-tech island paradise of Senali. As Leed faces the difficult choice between duty and his own personal feelings, Obi-Wan is forced to reflect on his past and the choices he made when abandoning the Jedi. This book is a little more shallow than the previous ones, but is still pretty good.

The Dangerous Hunter
What starts out a small detour to visit an old friend of Qui Gon's in Couresant quickly turns into an adventure as Master and Padawan find themselves pulled into the path of a mysterious bounty hunter. Didi, Qui Gon's friend is being hunted by this unknown foe. Qui Gon promises to help find out why she is after him. Whether it is simply a case of mistaken identity or Didi's side buisness in information trading finally caught up with him. And if Didi is the bounty hunter's target, what piece of information could be so important that someone would put a bounty on Didi's head. Suddenly the already high stakes are raised as the bounty hunter expands her bullseye to include Obi Wan, Qui Gon and Didi's daughter, Ashtri as well. What can the Jedi do against this new foe? I liked the cliffhanger ending on this book it leaves you ready to read the next one.
