Best East Coast Album: Canibus- Rip The Jacker: This was a very tough decision to make between Canibus, 50 Cent and Jay Z but his album was just pure heat from start to finish. He could have got this award for Spartibus alone, but the combo of bis and Stoupe on the beats is the new Gangstarr of hip hop. Hopefully with the momentum of his last 2 albums he can get another shot at a major label. Other Notables: Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Gangstarr, Raekwon, 50 Cent, Sheek, G-Unit, Lil Kim, Jedi Mind Tricks, Ja Rule, DMX |

Best Dirty South Album- Outkast- Speakerboxx/Tha Love Below: This duo continues to push the boundaries of hip hop. They do a double cd of solo material and Andre does the singing shit on his album and is the second coming of prince. Big Boi came correct with his raps and before you know it, you have one of the most eceletic albums in history. Another classic from ATL's finest. Other Notables: T.I., Scarface, Youngbloodz, Nappy Roots, Big Tymers, Big Gipp, Juvenile, |

Best Midwest Album: Obie Trice- Cheers: Out of nowhere, Eminem puts out this lethal lyricist from the Motor City. His rhymes are like Hennessey straight with no chaser. And to top that, his scathing diss of Ja Rule rapping along side Dr. Dre on "Shit Hits The Fan" was the hardest diss of the year. This gold selling album caught many off guard with its brillance for a rookie, but for Obie Trice this was all in the plans. Cheers to that!!! Other Notables: Do Or Die, Nelly, Murphy Lee, Da Brat |
