A being cannot be cast out of heaven. Jesus assures us that no one can enter heaven unless they are begotten of God (JOH 3:3). Saints born into eternal life as a part of God's eternal Kingdom, cannot be harmed by the second death (REV 2:11)(REV 20:6). Satan dies in the 'second death' (REV 20).

Let us take a look at those time scripture tells us someone falls from heaven. Scripture tells us that the glory of Israel, the House of Judah, falls from heaven. It is the House of Judah's evil human pride, through sin, which falls from heaven

NAB LAM 2:1

How the Lord in his wrath has detested daughter Zion! He has cast down from heaven to earth the glory of Israel, Unmindful of his footstool on the day of his wrath. The Lord has consumed without pity all the dwellings of Jacob; He has torn down in his anger the fortresses of daughter Judah; He has brought to the ground in dishonor her king and her princes.

NAB 2KI 24:18

The LORD’S anger befell Jerusalem and Judah till he cast them out from his presence.
Adam and Eve were in heaven. It was actually the garden of Eden. However, scripture paints a picture of heaven on Eden. 'the holy mountain of God', 'fiery stones' are phrases which pertain to being in the presence of God. It is Adam and Eve's evil human pride, through sin, which falls from heaven.

NAB EZE 28:13

In Eden, the garden of God, you were, and every precious stone was your covering (carnelian, topaz, and beryl, chrysolite, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, garnet, and emerald); Of gold your pendants and jewels were made, on the day you were created. With the Cherub I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God, walking among the fiery stones. Blameless you were in your conduct from the day you were created, Until evil was found in you, the result of your far-flung trade; violence was your business, and you sinned. Then I banned you from the mountain of God; the Cherub drove you from among the fiery stones.
The Pharaoh's evil human pride puts him in heaven. At least the Pharaoh thinks so. It is the Pharaoh's evil human pride which falls from heaven into the abyss.

NAB EZE 31:14

Thus no tree may grow lofty in stature or raise its crest among the clouds; no tree fed by water may stand by itself in its loftiness.

For all of them are destined for death, for the land below, For the company of mortals, those who go down into the pit.

Thus says the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD: On the day he went down to the nether world I made the abyss close up over him; I stopped its streams so that the deep waters were held back. I cast gloom over Lebanon because of him, so that all the trees in the land drooped on his account. At the crash of his fall I made the nations rock, when I cast him down to the nether world with those who go down into the pit. In the land below, all Eden’s trees were consoled, Lebanon’s choice and best, all that were fed by water. They too have come down with him to the nether world, to those slain by the sword; those who dwelt in his shade are dispersed among the nations. Which was your equal in glory or size among the trees of Eden? Yet you have been brought down with the trees of Eden to the land below. You shall lie with the uncircumcised, with those slain by the sword. Such are Pharaoh and all his hordes, says the Lord GOD.

Satan is defeated at the battle of Armageddon in the Apocalypse. It is Christ and His armies who defeat Satan. It is from earth that the dragon, the ancient serpent, Satan, is felled from ‘heaven’ and chained up in hell. The House of Judah, the Pharaoh, king Nebuchadnezzer, Adam and Eve all have their evil human pride felled from heaven to earth from earth. Satan is defeated in the age of the apocalypse on the battle field of Armageddon. There are three descriptions of Satan's defeat in the Book of Revelations. In one description an angel comes to earth and chains Satan up in hell. In another description Christ defeats Satan on the battle field of Armageddon with the sword of His mouth and casts Satan into hell. In the third description Archangel Michael fights with Satan and causes Satan to loose his place in heaven. Three descriptions, one event. Satan is felled from heaven and cast into hell from earth. Satan, Adam and Eve, the Pharaoh and king Nebuchadnezzer are all described as falling from heaven in scriptures. It is evil human pride, through sin, which is taking the fall from heaven in all these cases.

NAB REV 12:7

Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. Although the dragon and his angels fought back, they were overpowered and lost their place in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent known as the devil or Satan, the seducer of the whole world, was driven out; he was hurled down to earth and his minions with him.

NAB REV 20:1

Thousand Year Reign. Then I saw an angel come down from heaven, holding the key to the abyss and a huge chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil or Satan, and chained him up for a thousand years. The angel hurled him into the abyss, which he closed and sealed over him. He did this so that the dragon might not lead the nations astray until the thousand years are over. After this, the dragon is to be released for a short time.

NAB REV 19:19

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth, and the armies they had mustered to do battle with the One riding the horse, and with his army. The beast was captured along with the false prophet who preformed in its presence the prodigies that led men astray, making them accept the mark of the beast and worship its image. Both were hurled down alive into the fiery pool of burning sulphur. The rest were slain by the sword of the One who rode the horse and all the birds gorged themselves on the flesh of the slain.

The House of Judah became proud and sinful. In God's wrath, God authorized the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, to defeat the House of Judah and carry her off into exile. Jerusalem is destroyed by Babylonian forces and her people, the House of David, the liniage of Christ, are carried off as captives into Babylon.

Scripture uses the term “morning star” to describe Jesus (REV 22:16), angels (JOB 38:1), saints (REV 2:26), and the king of Babylon (ISA 14:12). The term 'morning star' seems to indicate a position of God given authority. It is the fall of 'morning star', king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar, from 'heaven’, which gives Modern day Christianity its rich description of Satan’s fall from ‘heaven’. When the Book of Revelations tells us that 'Babylon has fallen!' it is refering to Satan's fall. Satan, king Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon, the Pharaoh and even Adam and Eve all have their 'falls from heaven' tightly intertwined together by the apocalyptic authors. Man's evil pride and power are at the core of their 'fall from heaven'.

It is Jesus who will rule the world, with the 'iron rod' of His mouth, after Satan is defeated at Armageddon in the Book of Revelations. It is Jesus who is given the 'morning star'. After the fall of Babylon, in the Book of Revelations, Jesus will rule the House of Jacob and the whole world. Jesus will rule the world with the 'iron rod' of His mouth. As God ruled the House of Judah through His prophets and priests before Judah's 'fall from heaven', Jesus will take over rule of the world after Babylon's (Satan's) fall from 'heaven' (power) at the battle of Armageddon. The world will be ruled by the 'iron rod' of Christ's mouth after the battle of Armageddon. It is the 'iron rod' of Christ's mouth which will humble man's evil pride and keep it humbled.

NAB REV 12:5

She gave birth to a son--a boy destined to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod.

NAB REV 2:27

He shall rule them with a rod of iron and shatter them like crockery; and I will give him the morning star.

The Book of Revelations spends a great deal of text telling us about the ‘fall of Babylon’. It is Satan’s fall which the Book of Revelations is referring to when it tells us ‘Babylon has fallen!” By understanding scripture’s portrayal of the fall of the 'morning star' Babylon, we can come to see scriptures meaning of the fall of Satan. Let us take a look at the writings of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and John, author of the Book of Revelations, to understand just, who, how, what, why and where, Satan takes his fall from ‘heaven’.

NAB ISA 14 The King of Babylon

When the LORD has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel and settles them on their own soil, the aliens will join them and be counted with the house of Jacob. The house of Israel will take them and bring them along to its place, and possess them as male and female slaves on the Lord’s soil, making captives of its captors and ruling over its oppressors. On the day the LORD relieves you of sorrow and unrest and the hard service in which you have been enslaved, you will take up this taunt-song against the king of Babylon:

How the oppressor has reached his end! how the turmoil is stilled! The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the staff of the tyrants That struck the peoples in wrath relentless blows; That beat down the nations in anger, with oppression unchecked.

The whole earth rests peacefully, song breaks forth; The very cypresses rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon: “Now that you are laid to rest, there will be none to cut us down.”

The nether world below is all astir preparing for your coming; It awakens the shades to greet you, all the leaders of the earth; It has the kings of all nations rise from their thrones. All of them speak out and say to you, “You too have become weak like us, you are the same as we. Down to the nether world your pomp is brought, the music of your harps. The couch beneath you is the maggot, your covering, the worm.”

How have you fallen from the heavens, O morning star, son of the dawn! How are you cut down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations! You said in your heart: “I will scale the heavens; Above the stars of God I will set up my throne; I will take my seat on the Mount of Assembly, in the recesses of the North. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High!” Yet down to the nether world you go to the recesses of the pit!

When they see you they will stare, pondering over you: “Is this the man who made the earth tremble, and kingdoms quake? Who made the world a desert, razed its cities, and gave his captives no release? All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb; But you are cast forth without burial, loathsome and corrupt, Clothed as those slain at sword-point, a trampled corpse. Going down to the pavement of the pit, you will never be one with them in the grave.” For you have ruined your land, you have slain your people!

Let him not be named forever, that scion of an evil race! Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants.

I will rise up against them, says the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, progeny and offspring, says the LORD. I will make it a haunt of hoot owls and a marshland; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says the LORD of hosts.

There is a corrilation between Judah's fall from power, Babylon's fall from power, and Satan's fall from power. All three are described as falling from 'heaven'. King of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar, is the man that modern Christianity, and the Book of Revelations, bases its image of Satan’s, fall from heaven, on. King Nebuchadnezzar’s evil human pride led him to believe he was a god on a royal throne in heaven. It is this evil human pride of king Nebuchadnezzar, along with king Nebuchadnezzar, which falls from ‘heaven’. King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream of huge cypress tree growing up lofty and proud into the very heavens by God (Daniel 4, Isaiah 14:8, Ezekiel 31 and 28). It is king Nebuchadnezzar’s evil human pride, over his great kingdom, which grows into the very heavens where God is seated. God has the tree of Nebuchadnezzar’s pride, cut down.

NAB PRO 16:18

Pride goes before disaster, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be humble with the meek than to share plunder with the proud.
It is interesting to note: The great fall of prideful king Nebuchadnezzar from power in Babylon is the foundation on which modern Christianity bases its image of Satan’s fall from heaven. After the great fall of king Nebuchadnezzar, with his evil human pride, he repents and God returns him to even greater power than before his fall. What does not rise back to power with king Nebuchadnezzar, is his evil human pride. King Nebuchadnezzar’s evil human pride, which is Satan, remains in ruins on the ground. “Babylon has fallen!” It is a repentant, God fearing, God worshiping, humble, meek, king Nebuchadnezzar, without his evil human pride which is Satan, which returns to power in Babylon (DAN 4:31). It is man’s evil pride that tempts man into sin. It is man’s evil pride that holds many a man in non-repentance and eternal damnation.

Ezekiel uses king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the felled tree of king Nebuchadnezzar’s evil pride to warn the Pharoahs and the Prince of Tyre. In Ezekiel 28 and 31, he paints the face of Satan on the evil pride of the kings of the earth.

NAB EZE 31

On the first day of the third month in the eleventh year, the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, say to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and to his hordes: What are you like in your greatness?

Behold, a cypress (cedar) in Lebanon, beautiful of branch, lofty of stature, amid the very clouds lifted its crest. Waters made it grow, the abyss made it flourish, sending its rivers round where it was planted, turning its streams to all the trees of the field.

Thus it grew taller than every other tree of the field, and longer of branch because of the abundant water. In its boughs nested all the birds of the air, under its branches all beasts of the field gave birth, in its shade dwelt numerous peoples of every race. It became beautiful and stately in its spread of foliage, for its roots were turned toward abundant water. The cedars in the garden of God were not its equal, nor could the fir trees match its boughs, Neither were the plane trees like it for branches; no tree in the garden of God matched its beauty. I made it beautiful, with much foliage, the envy of all Eden’s trees in the garden of God.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because it became lofty in stature, raising its crest among the clouds, and because it became proud in heart at its height, I have handed it over to the mightiest of the nations, which has dealt with it in keeping with its wickedness. I humiliated it. Foreigners, the most ruthless of the nations, cut it down and left it on the mountains. Its foliage was brought low in all the valleys, its branches lay broken in all the ravines of the land, and all the peoples of the land withdrew from its shade, abandoning it.

On its fallen trunk rested all the birds of the air, and by its branches were all the beasts of the field.

Thus no tree may grow lofty in stature or raise its crest among the clouds; no tree fed by water may stand by itself in its loftiness.

For all of them are destined for death, for the land below, For the company of mortals, those who go down into the pit.

Thus says the Lord GOD: On the day he went down to the nether world I made the abyss close up over him; I stopped its streams so that the deep waters were held back.

NAB GEN 3

The Fall of Man
Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the animals that the Lord God had made, the serpent asked the woman, “Did God really tell you not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?” The woman answered the serpent: “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden; it is only about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, ‘You shall not eat it or even touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die! No, God knows well that the moment you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods who know what is good and what is bad.”

NAB EZE 28

The Prince of Tyre.
Thus the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre: Thus says the Lord GOD:

Because you are haughty of heart, you say, “A god am I! I occupy a godly throne in the heart of the sea!”— And yet you are a man, and not a god, however you may think yourself like a god. Oh yes, you are wiser than Daniel, there is no secret that is beyond you. By your wisdom and your intelligence you have made riches for yourself; You have put gold and silver into your treasuries. By your great wisdom applied to your trading you have heaped up your riches; your heart has grown haughty from your riches— therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have thought yourself to have the mind of a god, Therefore I will bring against you foreigners, the most barbarous of nations. They shall draw their swords against your beauteous wisdom, they shall run them through your splendid apparel. They shall thrust you down to the pit, there to die a bloodied corpse, in the heart of the sea. Will you then say, “I am a god!” when you face your murderers? No, you are a man, not a god, handed over to those who will slay you. You shall die the death of the uncircumcised at the hands of foreigners, for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD.

Thus the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, utter a lament over the king of Tyre, saying to him: Thus says the Lord GOD:

You were stamped with the seal of perfection, of complete wisdom and perfect beauty. You became haughty of heart because of your beauty; for the sake of splendor you debased your wisdom. I cast you to the earth, so great was your guilt; I made you a spectacle in the sight of kings. Because of your guilt, your sinful trade, I have profaned your sanctuaries, And I have brought out fire from your midst which will devour you. I have reduced you to dust on the earth in the sight of all who should see you. Among the peoples, all who knew you stand aghast at you; You have become a horror, you shall be no more.

Thus the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, look toward Sidon, and prophesy against it: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Sidon; I will be glorified in your midst. Then they shall know that I am the LORD, when I inflict punishments upon it and use it to manifest my holiness.

Into it I will send pestilence, and blood shall flow in its streets. Within it shall fall those slain by the sword that comes against it from every side.

Thus they shall know that I am the LORD. Sidon shall no longer be a tearing thorn for the house of Israel, a brier that scratches them more than all the others about them who despise them; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.

Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, then I will manifest my holiness through them in the sight of the nations. Then they shall live on their land which I gave to my servant Jacob; they shall live on it in security, building houses and planting vineyards. They shall dwell secure while I inflict punishments on all their neighbors who despised them; thus they shall know that I, the LORD, am their God.

Satan was in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve at the time of man’s fall. The tree of eternal life was in the Garden of Eden (GEN 2:9). Well! Why didn’t Satan, who seemed to know his way around the Garden of Eden, just eat from the tree of life? Then Satan could have harassed God for all eternity? Satan, the evil serpent, fell from Eden with Adam and Eve at the time of Man’s original sin. Ezekiel puts an image of ‘heaven’ onto the Garden of Eden. This image of ‘heaven’ is not to be confused with the Kingdom of God, which Jesus defines as heaven. No being can fall from the Kingdom of God. Satan, along with Adam and Eve, fell from ‘heaven’, also known as the Garden of Eden, at the time of Adam and Eve’s sin. It is in the Garden of Eden that man’s evil pride, which grows into a great multitude of evil sin, was conceived.

NAB GEN 3:4

But the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die! No, God knows well that the moment you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods

NAB SIR 10:12

The beginning of pride is man’s stubbornness in withdrawing his heart from his Maker; For pride is the reservoir of sin, a source which runs over with vice; Because of it God sends unheard-of afflictions and brings men to utter ruin.
Satan falls in the future battle of Armageddon in the apocalyptic biblical Book of Revelations. The ‘dragon’, the ‘ancient serpent’, who is Satan, is defeated in the book of Revelations. The ‘dragon’, Satan is chained up in hell by an angel at the Apocalypse. We can assume the angel is Michael the Archangel who scripture places on earth at the time of the Apocalypse. Though, the ‘dragon’, Satan, will be released again, but only for a short time, ‘a thousand years’ later upon the era of doomsday. From the book of Revelations we know that it is Archangel Michael who does combat with Satan and casts Satan out of ‘heaven’ (REV 12:7). It is on the battlefield of Armageddon that Jesus, with His armies of heaven, cast Satan into hell (REV 19:19). It is at the future battle of Armageddon that we will see the great fall of Babylon. ‘Babylon’ is the great sinfulness of mankind which man’s pride has led him to. It is the sword of Christ’s mouth, the power to hold sins bound, which defeats Babylon, which is Satan, which is man’s evil pride, on the battlefield of Armageddon in the age of the Apocalypse. The crash of Babylon’s fall you hear in Daniel 4, is the crash of mankind’s tremendous evil pride on the future battlefield of Armageddon.

NAB REV 18:21

A powerful angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone and hurled it into the sea and said: “Babylon the great city shall be cast down like this, with violence, and nevermore to be found!

NAB REV 18:1 The fall of Babylon

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. His authority was so great that all the earth was lighted up by his glory. He cried out in a strong voice:
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons. She is a cage for every unclean spirit, a cage for every filthy and disgusting bird; For she has made all the nations drink the poisoned wine of her lewdness. The kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the world’s merchants grew rich from her wealth and wantonness.”
Then I heard another voice from heaven say,
“Depart from her, my people, for fear of sinning with her and sharing the plagues inflicted on her! For her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God keeps count of her crimes.

NAB DAN 4:5

Finally there came before me Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy God. I repeated the dream to him: “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy God is in you and no mystery is too difficult for you; tell me the meaning of the visions that I saw in my dream.

“These were the visions I saw while in bed: I saw a tree of great height at the center of the world. It was large and strong, with its top touching the heavens, and it could be seen to the ends of the earth. Its leaves were beautiful and its fruit abundant, providing food for all. Under it the wild beasts found shade, in its branches the birds of the air nested; all men ate of it. In the vision I saw while in bed, a holy sentinel came down from heaven, and cried out:

‘Cut down the tree and lop off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit; let the beasts flee its shade, and the birds its branches. But leave in the earth its stump and roots, fettered with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field. Let him be bathed with the dew of heaven; his lot be to eat, among beasts, the grass of the earth. Let his mind be changed from the human; let him be given the sense of a beast, till seven years pass over him. By decree of the sentinels is this decided, by order of the holy ones, this sentence; That all who live may know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of men: He can give it to whom he will, or set over it the lowliest of men.’

“This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me its meaning. Although none of the wise men in my kingdom can tell me the meaning, you can, because the spirit of the holy God is in you.”

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while, terrified by his thoughts. “Belteshazzar,” the king said to him, “let not the dream or its meaning terrify you.” “My lord,” Belteshazzar replied, “this dream should be for your enemies, and its meaning for your foes. The large, strong tree that you saw, with its top touching the heavens, that could be seen by the whole earth, which had beautiful foliage and abundant fruit, providing food for all, under which the wild beasts lived, and in whose branches the birds of the air dwelt—you are that tree, O king, large and strong! Your majesty has become so great as to touch the heavens, and your rule extends over the whole earth. As for the king’s vision of a holy sentinel that came down from heaven and proclaimed: ‘Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave in the earth its stump and roots, fettered with iron and bronze in the grass of the field; let him be bathed with the dew of heaven, and let his lot be among wild beasts till seven years pass over him’--this is its meaning, O king; this is the sentence which the Most High has passed upon my lord king: You shall be cast out from among men and dwell with wild beasts; you shall be given grass to eat like an ox and be bathed with the dew of heaven; seven years shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will. The command that the stump and roots of the tree are to be left means that your kingdom shall be preserved for you, once you have learned it is heaven that rules. Therefore, O king, take my advice; atone for your sins by good deeds, and for your misdeeds by kindness to the poor; then your prosperity will be long.”

All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. Twelve months later, as he was walking on the roof of the royal palace in Babylon, the king said, “Babylon the great! Was it not I, with my great strength, who built it as a royal residence for my splendor and majesty?” While these words were still on the king’s lips, a voice spoke from heaven, “It has been decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar, that your kingdom is taken from you! You shall be cast out from among men, and shall dwell with wild beasts; you shall be given grass to eat like an ox, and seven years shall pass over you, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” At once this was fulfilled. Nebuchadnezzar was cast out from among men, he ate grass like an ox, and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven, until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle, and his nails like the claws of a bird.

When this period was over, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes to heaven; my reason was restored to me, and I blessed the Most High, I praised and glorified him who lives forever:

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom endures through all generations. All who live on the earth are counted as nothing; he does as he pleases with the powers of heaven as well as with those who live on the earth. There is no one who can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”

At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and my splendor returned to me. My nobles and lords sought me out; I was restored to my kingdom, and became much greater than before. Therefore, I, Nebuchadnezzar, now praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because all his works are right and his ways just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

The book of Revelations closely compares the apocalyptic battle of Armageddon and the fall of Satan from heaven to the fall of the king of Babylon and his fall from heaven. After king Nebuchadnezzars fall he rises again to praise God. King Nebuchadnezzar repents, surrenders to God, and rises again without his evil wicked human pride. In other words, king Nebuchadnezzar rises again without his evil wicked human pride which is Satan. God has beat the devil out of him. King Nebuchadnezzar rises again and his kingdom is even greater than before.

The world beyond Armageddon: Apocalyptic writings can go either way; sometimes they seem to indicate Armageddon is game over; other times scriptures seem to indicate a period ‘thousand years’ after Satan is defeated. Let us pray that the Israel sprouting abundant fruit after Satan is defeated at Armageddon, with the sword of our Lord patrolling the earth (ISA 27:1)(REV 20:1), is the way it will be after Armageddon. Revelations tells us that Satan is defeated at the future battle of Armageddon. After Armageddon, we will have a ‘thousand years’ without the devil ‘leading the nations astray’. Isaiah tells us that Israel, (the Church) will flower and produce much fruit after Leviathan (Satan) is defeated (Isaiah 21). In the comparison that Revelations gives to Satans fall in the Apocalypse to king Nebucadnezzar’s fall in Babylon, we will be a great deal better off on the other side of Armageddon, after man’s evil pride is defeated. Not that mankind will no longer sin after Armageddon. After Aramageddon sinners will no longer have the evil human pride of thinking they are so valuable to God that they will still go to heaven without repentance of their sins.

NAB ISA 2:12

For the LORD of hosts will have his day against all that is proud and arrogant, all that is high, and it will be brought low; Yes, against all the cedars of Lebanon and all the oaks of Bashan, Against all the lofty mountains and all the high hills, Against every lofty tower and every fortified wall, Against all the ships of Tarshish and all stately vessels. Human pride will be abased, the arrogance of men brought low, And the LORD alone will be exalted, on that day.
The apocalyptic prophets, Old Testament and New Testament, tightly intertwine the above three events of Satan’s fall. King Nebuchadnezzar lifted his pride to the ‘heavens’. King Nebuchadnezzar thought of his rise to power over so many people as him being like a god. God humbled him. Adam and Eve’s evil pride lead them to believe they would be like gods if they ate from the tree of knowledge. Adam and Eve believed, pridefully, that they were to precious to God for God to allow them to die if they sinned. God humbled them. Modern man believes that Jesus, God’s Son, will not let them die no matter how much sin they commit. Modern man’s human pride, tells him that Jesus ‘loves’ him to much to allow him to go to hell for the unrepentant sins of abortion, fornication, divorce, murder, stealing, breaking the Sabbath, and his great multitude of sins. Does modern man really think that they can crush the heads of unborn babies and tear their bodies out of womb piece by piece and this does not come to Jesus’ attention? This will not stand. In the future, at the battle of Armageddon and beyond, Jesus will rule the earth with the, keys to the Kingdom, the power to hold sins bound, the sword of His mouth. Modern man, with his evil wicked human pride, code-name Babylon, is about to take a fall!

NAB REV 14:8

A second angel followed and cried out: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, which made all the nations drink the poisoned wine of her lewdness!”

NAB ISA 21:9

Here he comes now: a single chariot, a pair of horses; He calls out and says, ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon’ And all the images of her gods are smashed to the ground.’ O my people who have been threshed, beaten on my threshing floor! What I have heard from the Lord of hosts.

NAB REV 17:5

On her forehead was written a symbolic name, “Babylon the great, mother of harlots and all the world’s abominations.” I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy ones and the blood of those martyred for their faith in Jesus.

The meaning of the Beast and Harlot. When I saw her I was greatly astonished. The angel said to me: “Why are you so taken aback? I will explain to you the symbolism of the woman and of the seven-headed and ten-horned beast carrying her. The beast you saw existed once but now exists no longer. It will come up from the abyss once more before going to final ruin.

NAB REV 17:15

The angel then said to me: “The waters on which you saw the harlot enthroned are large numbers of peoples and nations and tongues.”

NAB REV 18:9

The kings of the earth who committed fornication with her and wallowed in her sensuality will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke arise as she burns. They will keep their distance for fear of the punishment inflicted on her, and will say: “Alas, alas, great city that you are, Babylon the mighty! In a single hour your doom has come!”
Mene Mene Treckel Parsin is God’s ‘writing on the wall’. The actual fall of Babylon comes with king Nebuchadnezzars son, king Belshazzar. Gods writing on the wall to Belshazzar is that he has been numbered weighed and his kingdom, Babylon, is about to come to an end. The king dies that night and the Kingdom of Babylon falls to the Medes and the Persians. In the book of Revelations ‘Babylon’ falls at Armegeddon by the sword of Christ’s mouth. In the Book of Revelations, after Armageddon, it is the sword of Christ’s mouth, and no longer the world, which rules the nations. With Revelations tight relationship with the fall of Babylon, we can assume God’s writing on the wall is written for those in the age of the Apocalypse.

NAB DAN 5:18 The writing on the wall.

The Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar a great kingdom and glorious majesty. Because he made him so great, the nations and peoples of every language dreaded and feared him. Whomever he wished, he killed or let live; whomever he wished, he exalted or humbled. But when his heart became proud and his spirit hardened by insolence, he was put down from his royal throne and deprived of his glory; he was cast out from among men and was made insensate as a beast; he lived with wild asses, and ate grass like an ox; his body was bathed with the dew of heaven, until he learned that the Most High God rules over the kingdom of men and appoints over it whom he will. You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this; you have rebelled against the Lord of heaven. You had the vessels of his temple brought before you, so that you and your nobles, your wives and your entertainers, might drink wine from them; and you praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, that neither see nor hear nor have intelligence. But the God in whose hand is your life breath and the whole course of your life, you did not glorify. By him were the wrist and hand sent, and the writing set down.

“This is the writing that was inscribed: Mene, Tekel, and Peres. These words mean: Mene, God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it; TEKEL, you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting; PERES, your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.” Then by order of Belshazzar they clothed Daniel in purple, with a gold collar about his neck, and proclaimed him third in the government of the kingdom. The same night Belshazzar, the Chaldean king, was slain: And Darius the Mede succeeded to the kingdom.

It is the fall of man’s evil human pride, which causes the earth to shake and the sun to go dark. Man says in his heart that he can do any and all evil sin and God does not care or God does not see or God will not damn me to hell for unrepentant sin. It is man’s evil wicked human pride that comes crashing down in the fall of king Nebuchadnezzar’s fall. It is man’s evil wicked human pride that comes crashing down on the future battlefield of Armageddon in the Book of Revelations.

It is king Nebuchadnezzar who had destroyed Jerusalem and carried the house of Juda off into exile. God had authorized king Nebuchadnezzar to do this because of the great sins of His people. God seems to have given king Nebuchadnezzar the “morning star” which seems to be God’s authority to rule over His people. God had allowed His people to be carried off into exile by the pagan kings of the world to be ruled by the pagan kings. This is why apocalyptic authors paint the face of Satan specifically on king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.

In Revelations 2:27, the Father gives Jesus the ‘morning star’. Jesus is to rule the world with the ‘iron rod’ of His mouth. As in the days of old, Jesus takes over rule of the world by the force of His sword at the battle of Armageddon in the age of the Apocalypse. Satan (the pride of man), the beast (world kingdoms), the harlot and the false prophet, are all hurled into hell at the battle of Armageddon. All free willed life on earth struck by the sword of Christ’s mouth, the power to hold sins bound, who do not repent and receive absolution, Christ’s key to hold sins loost, will lay spiritually dead in the carnage on the great battlefield of Armageddon. (NAB REV 18:4 “Depart from her, my people, for fear of sinning with her and sharing the plagues inflicted on her!”) This will all happen through the awesome power of the sword of Christ’s mouth, the keys to the Kingdom, the power to hold sins bound. In the era after the battle of Armageddon, Jesus will rule the world with the ‘iron rod’ of His mouth. This is Jesus’ destiny.

NAB REV 1:16

A sharp, two-edged sword came out of his mouth, and his face shone like the sun at its brightest. When I caught sight of him I fell down at his feet as though dead, he touched me with his right hand and said: "There is nothing to fear. I am the First and the Last and the One who lives. Once I was dead but not I live-- forever and ever. I hold the keys of death and the nether world." "

NAB ISA 11:4 The Rule of Immanuel.

He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

NAB PSA 2:8

Ask of me and I will give you the nations for an inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possessions. You shall rule them with an iron rod; you shall shatter them like an earthen dish."

NAB REV 12:5

She gave birth to a son--a boy destined to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod.

NAB REV 2:27

He shall rule them with a rod of iron and shatter them like crockery; and I will give him the morning star.

NAB REV 19:15 The King of Kings.

Out of his mouth came a sharp sword for striking down the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron rod; it is he who will tread out in the winepress the blazing wrath of God the Almighty. A name was written on the part of the cloak that covered his thigh: "King of kings and Lord of lords."
According to the book of Revelations, it is the sword of Christ’s mouth, which is the weapon used to bring man’s evil, wicked pride to destruction. Christ tells us that upon His Second Coming it will be doomsday. If Armageddon is doomsday, Judgement Day, and the end of the world, then it is Christ who is wielding the big gun on the battlefield of Armageddon. Christ authorizes others to wield the weapon of His mouth. Angels and Apostolic Successors are authorized by Christ to use the sword of His mouth. If there is free willed life on earth, and the opportunity to repent, after Armageddon, then Armageddon is not doomsday.

If Armageddon is not doomsday then it is most likely Archangel Michael who is wielding the sword of Christ's mouth at the battle of Armageddon. Punishment is not a bad thing if it results in turning people's hearts to repentance and a return to love God. It was God's punsihment upon king Nebuchadnezzar that drove Satan from his heart. King Nebuchadnezzar repented and rose back to being a 'morning star' in leadership over God's people once again. If Archangel Michael's punishment of the earth brings peoples hearts to repentance and a return to produce the fruit of love for God, then this punishment is a good thing. Let us take the punishment from God and through repentance let us rise up again to glory as an obedient loving people to God, once again.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, send us Your great combat angel Michael the Archangel.
