Screaming Sun

By what inspired gesture
Will darkness come undone?
Throw all doubt and conjecture
Into the screaming sun

Sun that is burning, beaming,
Cinging what is untrue,
Puncturing all the seeming
To send the warm rays through

Warm rays that spring to living
Flowers and butterflies
And turn us to believing
Truth as apart from lies -

Warm rays that, though unfathomed,
Bring an eternal spring,
Quickening every atom
In every living thing,

Dressing with gorgeous aura
Everyone in its way
Fighting despair and horror
Turning the night to day -

Send me a bit of sunshine
Send it into my soul
That its warm rays be touching
Everything, part and whole,

And as the sun goes down
Into the western sky
Make in its aura drown
Sorrow that would not die
