Soils

The Russian soul is a hardy soil:
You put a plow through it, it nurtures flowers
And as the people on it daily toil
Their strength and perseverance life empowers.

Arabian soil is like Sahara sand
That starts to bloom with just few little rain drops:
So long has it been dry, this desert land,
With least of water it produces grain crops.

When desert rose blooms in the Russian chest
With blood she's nurtured and with love she's nourished
And there she's held most dear and there she's blessed
In order that she can forever flourish.
