| Big Brother - The Final Moments |
| The Big Brother Final started on Thursday night with the eviction of the first of the four finalists, thing was the housemates didn't know this yet. The Friday before hand lovers to be Paul and Helen were up for eviction against each other, Paul was evicted. After this the four remaining housemates thought they had until the following Friday to be in the house together. The following Wednesday Big Brother announced that the housemates would be given a gourmet meal on the Thursday night, with this they all presumed they would be staying until Friday. At approximatly 2040 Davina McCall began speaking to the house asking them to 'gather in the lounge area. You are live on channel 4 please do not swear'. At this the housemates began to panic as they genuinly had no idea what was happening, Helen started worrying because she hadn't done her hair. Davina then began to inform them 'the nation has been voting for almost a week now on who they want to win, tonight we will be evicting the housemate with the least votes' and with this a confused Helen screamed 'SHIT!' Three minutes later Davina began speaking to the housemates again, informing them that the person to be evicted that night was Elizabeth, after she scored only 2% of the nations votes. At ten thirty Elizabeth was evicted and interviewed. She said that she thought all the remaining housemates deserved to win and that she didn't have a preferance. She did say that she thought that Brian would win after hearing the screams of adoration from the audience everytime they saw his face on the huge tv above their heads. On Friday at eight thirty Davina once again began speaking to the housemates, who at least knew that they were going to be on tv that night! Shorlty after Dean was informed he was in third place and told he had one minute to leave the house. As with Elizabeth he told Davina that both the remaining contestants deserved to win, that they had both been fun to live with. At ten thirty Davina once again spoke to the remaining housemates, Helen and Brian. After a pause that must have seemed like an eternity to the pair she told them that Brian had won. Jumping for joy, he couldn't contain his excitement and surprise. Helen was given thirty seconds to say goodbye and leave. Led through the crowd of fans and photographers she was taken to the inside studio and asked all the questions about Paul. At the end of the interview Davina told Helen Paul had a gift for her. Paul stepped forward and handed her two bags, one contained a pair of Gucci shoes the other a matching Gucci handbag. Helen's face lit up as she opened the bags and realising what they were she let out her, now infamous, scream! As all those who watched the show knew, it was Helen's dream to own a pair of Gucci shoes with a handbag to match. Despite this dream she turned down the shoes and bag Big Brother had offered her while in the house, choosing instead a party for all the housemates to enjoy. At about eleven o'clock Brian's moment had arrived. He was told to leave the house and as he left Janet Jackson's song Nasty Boy played (Brian and partner in crime Narinder used to do the dance to this song in the house, much to the amusement of the others). He was lead through the crowds to the outdoor stage surrounded by fans, cameras and the other housemates. Once led on to the specially erected (no smart arse jokes!) Big Brother stage Brian started jumping up and down while still obviously shocked at the 1200 strong crowd. Seconds later he was running over to the ex housemates and jumping up and down with co-hort Narinder soon to be joined by first evictee Penny. Davina led him to his chair at the centre of the stage and made an attempt to interview him. Brian had other plans tho. Waving at his fans and shouting to the housemates before eventually being told by Davina to look her in the eyes giving the excuse she 'won't be able to see his beautiful face' if he didn't. Every time Davina tried to ask him a question his attention was diverted by something in the crowd. Eventually she did manage to ask him questions. She asked him about the highest and lowest point 'People accepting me for who I am and not judging me because I'm a bit selfish and a little spoiled sometimes. A low point for me was missing my family, because I love them all so much' Davina called Bubble on to the stage. Bubble then handed Brian one of his two teddies Mr Cow. In order for Brian to get the second one back he had to recreate the imfamous waltzing from the dance task between him and Bubble. Once that was done Brian was handed Mr Bear and sat back down to watch his £70, 000 prize money be transferred to his account. He was then astonished to hear that a staggering seven million people had voted and approximatly 4,230,000 had voted for him while Helen recieved 2,680,000 an incredible margin. Well done Brian I told Andy you'd win but he doubted you! Shame on you Andy! |
