Rights to Things for Your Home



All of the things for your home, such as t.v., microwave, refrigerator, oven, furniture, etc. you have rights to.
Please be aware that the electricity here is 220v, while USA uses 110v and that the televisions are using PAL, not NTNC as in USA.
You can use a converter for electricity, but the t.v.s from USA will not work here at all. Most video players, today, are able to use both formats.

You can bring in three shipments of household goods and you have three years (from the date you receive your new immigrant status) in which to bring in your goods.
These goods must come from your last country of residence (country written on your tehoodat oleh.)

You are allowed to bring things in with you also, if you would like (if you make aliyah from abroad.) You must pass through the red channel in customs and declare it there.

You can buy the things here also (but your purchases must be locally manufactured) if you choose, you will not pay taxes on these purchases.
