How to get pledges:
1. Email your friends and family, let them know what you are doing, and see if they are interested in pledging you. If you like, you could start with this sample email.
2. Put up a pledge envelope outside of your cube or office where people can deposit a contribution. We distributed a pledge envelope to each team member. Just put your name in the blank space near the top and hang it outside your work area. If you would like one of these envelopes but don't have one, please see Shelley Howder.
3. If you are related to Bill Gates (not to be confused with Bill Wrobleski) or any other multi-billionaire, be sure to ask them for a pledge.
4. As a fall back plan, you could try begging, pleading, bribery, etc. |
