Gavin Buehl
Gavin Buehl was born on
September 6, 1981.  He grew
up in Monticello, WI, like most
of the other losers in the band.
  He spent his childhood doing
nothing, because, quite frankly,
that is the only available activity
in Monticello. He now resides in
Madison, WI, a lovely neighbor-
hood where you can have your
stereo stolen by the local assholes and have your tires slashed by a psycho ex-girlfriend at no extra cost.  No, it really isn't that bad, it's actually pretty nice.  He currently lives with his brother and his fiance' Milana.  You're all welcome to go and hang out there if you like, it's a nonstop party.

He comes from an average family with one older brother and a younger sister.  His parents have been married for over twenty years and still live in the same house in Monkeytown.  He has a 2 year old daughter Savannah (who is currently the band's coolest groupie), an awesome fiance' Milana, and a host of dumbass friends like Rob Knight.  Lana and Gavin have been dating for a little over two years now and are planning to get hitched on June 15, 2002.  As stated above, they are moving in together and if everything goes well in court, Savannah will become a more permanent resident than she is now.

In addition to playing music, he attends UW-Madison majoring in chemistry and works full-time at
Third Wave Technologies where he clones chimps and inbred Kentucky folk for research.  It's a pretty strange job as compared to his past employment at Michael's Gay Custard Palace, uh, I mean, Michael's Frozen Custard.   In addition, he also has a job at Ricky's Rainbow Room where he serves drinks topless (you would do it too for $50 an hour plus a g-string full of tips).  He hopes to soon work as a scientist in the research and development department, but he refuses to give up his job at Ricky's, which causes a schedule conflict.  Priorities man, it's all about the priorities.

In high school, he was your typical nerd turned druggie, smoking a lot of weed and partaking in various other substances that you could say have made him the man he is today.  It was great until he got busted and ended up in criminal thinking class with area rejects and had to do community service.  It was some of these experiences which turned his life around, and inspired many of the songs that he has written for Improbable Revenge. Despite these unfortunate circumstances, he still remained an 'A' student and one hell of a great guy, although he still holds a grudge against one particular member of the Lehnherr clan, but he will get over it someday (once he is famous and that Lehnherr is back in Monticello living with his parents again and working at Culvers, what a loser).

Most people consider Gavin a little odd, but screw them, they are the freaks.  He is the only normal person around, according to him.  He got his first guitar when he was six years old. He really sucked then, and quite frankly, he still sucks.

Musically he plays a lot of the lead parts in the band, and tends to spread out the solos if the rest of the band will let him.  His style definitely comes from the grunge era of the early '90s, with many riffs and solos reminiscent of bands such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Nirvana, which is no doubt due to his excessive force-feeding of such music buy his older brother.  His hero is Mike McCreedy, and Gavin hopes to someday play in front of at least 5,000 poeple.  If this takes him breaking into a venue somewhere and rushing the stage fighting off security guards, then that's what he'll do.

When the band first got going, Dan and Gavin didn't mesh too well at all. In fact, there were times whe the only logical fix could have been hanging Dan by his guitar cable, but more often than not the problem would fix itself when Dan would accidentally unplug himself from his amp and keep on jamming with out noticing.  After a year or two they have fallen into a groove and form the meaty base of the band.  If you want to get a hold of Gavin you can email him at gabuehl@msn.com.
